Comedian Kathleen Madigan’s 34-year comedy career is showing no signs of slowing down on her current 2023 tour, Boxed Wine & Tiny Banjos. Madigan has been touring 250 nights a year on the road and has risen from performing in comedy clubs to performing in marquee theaters with sold-out shows. Madigan has squeezed in over 40 appearances on late night talk shows and multiple comedy specials airing on Amazon, Netflix, Comedy Central and HBO. She has also appeared on Jerry Seinfeld’s popular Netflix series, Comedians in Cars Getting Coffee and hosts her popular weekly podcast, Madigan’s Pubcast, which currently has over 5 million downloads on all streaming outlets. Her most recent special Hunting Bigfoot, an Amazon Original, is her sixth hour long stand-up special released on the heels of her critically acclaimed and third Netflix special, Bothering Jesus. As Vega, the Vulture Star, crosses the zenith of our autumnal skies it carries with it Orpheus’ Lyre. It’s the sacred harp crafted by Hermes on his first day here on Earth. Gifted to Apollo and passed on to Orpheus, it’s the tool for the attunement of the poetic soul needed to journey in and out of the Underworld. Fashioned from a turtle shell, Lyre resonates the 250 million year old Permean frequency of our deep bone memories. It’s the songline of our ancestors, the safety rope that allows us to navigate the catastrophes of life.

 Double Dip Productions presents Scuttlebutt, a new monthly improv comedy show at The LaZoom Room!

Inspired by guest storytellers and audience suggestions straight out of the watercooler, the Scuttlebutt players will poke fun at those damn day – and night – jobs of ours. What you hear at the watercooler might not stay there! With April being National Humor Month and Stress Awareness Month, what better way to celebrate than by combining the two with Scuttlebutt’s premiere performance?

The first performance is Friday, April 12th at 9:30pm at The LaZoom Room: 76 Biltmore Ave, Asheville, NC 28801. April’s Guest Storyteller will be Delina Hensley!
