of the fastest-rising comedians from across the U.S. These hand-picked performers represent
the next wave of comedy, from sharp observational wits to boundary-pushing storytellers.

state-of-the-art venue in the heart of Asheville’s vibrant downtown.

A new musical about growing up and growing old (in no particular order), KIMBERLY AKIMBO is the winner of 5 Tony Awards including BEST MUSICAL. It features Tony Award-winning book and lyrics by David Lindsay-Abaire (Shrek), a Tony Award-winning score by Jeanine Tesori (Fun Home), choreography by Danny Mefford (Dear Evan Hansen) and direction by Tony-nominated director Jessica Stone.
Kimberly is about to turn 16 and recently moved with her family to a new town in suburban New Jersey. In this “howlingly funny heartbreaker of a show” (The New Yorker), Kim is forced to navigate family dysfunction, a rare genetic condition, her first crush . . . and possible felony charges. Ever the optimist, she is determined to find happiness against all odds and embark on a great adventure.

Composer and percussionist Sarah Hennies and composer and bassist Tristan Kasten-Krause make music rooted in observation. Timbres across percussion and string instruments gradually meld into one; pitches gently float into consonance after bristling in dissonance. The Quiet Sun (2025), their debut duo album recorded at ISSUE Project Room, presents two works that each show a different lens into the large-scale forms they have developed together.

In Tail of the Bell, Eric is a recent college graduate working as an SAT tutor to pay the bills. He arrives at the Tarzana home of one of his wealthy students but finds that her mother, Michelle, is waiting for him instead. Her daughter Jessica isn’t there yet, she explains, but she’ll be arriving soon. However, as the conversation between them carries on, it becomes clear that Jessica is not coming at all, and that Michelle has brought Eric here for different reasons. His relationship with Jessica has become close, she explains, perhaps too close. And despite Eric’s denials and explanations, Michelle trots out more and more evidence indicating that something abnormal has been going on between tutor and student

These seasoned musicians come together from a variety of popular bands such as: Daddy’s Money, The XL’s, Banks and Shane, and a good many more; enabling them to create an authentic approach to the music of many best-loved Soul, Blues, and R&B artists.

In love with Roxane, he helps the handsome but inarticulate Christian win her affection, all while hiding his own feelings and sacrificing his love for her. But amidst the scandalous excitement of the opening night, the Bottom Brothers realize that reaching the top means being true to “thine own self” and all that jazz.
