Malvern Hills Park’s 90 year-old outdoor pool will not open this summer. While we were able to keep the facility operational through last summer, the pool can no longer be repaired to safely meet the needs of our community. For more, read this article.

  • Individual – $3 per session
  • Individual Season Pass – $100
  • Family Season Pass – $150 (up to four individuals)

Flying Squirrel Ten Miler

Experience the Blue Ridge Mountains with the Flying Squirrel Ten Miler, Asheville’s premier 10 Mile road race. Enjoy the ease and convenience of a road race with the spectacular views and seclusion of a mountain race. The race starts and finishes just blocks from downtown Asheville and then promptly takes runners on the winding roads of Town Mountain. Participants will enjoy shaded mountain roads typically only used by locals, such as the beautiful Sunset Drive and Patton Mountain Road. One thing about The Flying Squirrel Ten Miler is sure: you’ve got to “earn” those views. The Blue Ridge mountains are hilly and so is the Flying Squirrel Ten Miler.

Geared specifically towards the 5-12 year old crowd, you’ll learn about our city’s history and see the sights in true LaZoom style – complete with our famously outlandish tour guides, hilarious comedy skits, and all sorts of special appearances! Perfect for birthday parties or school field trips, it’s the best thing to do with your kids in Asheville. It’s a show on wheels!

The tour is 60 minutes long and includes no stops. The tour is hosted by a zany tour guide, and along the way other characters will hop on the bus and perform kid-centric sketches (Candy Pirate, Ninja, and a Levitator) The tour is not only fun – it’s educational! Kids and adults will learn new and interesting facts about Asheville along the way. There must be 1 adult for every 4 children. We do not allow any unaccompanied children. Women’s Paddlefest

UPDATE: The Ocoee River Paddle, Yoga Sessions, and Nantahala Sunday Paddle are all FULL! Check for other river excursions when you click register. 

Join a group of like-minded women paddlers for a weekend festival, hosted by inspirational paddler Anna Levesque! This festival is all about fostering community by connecting, sharing, paddling, and supporting each other on the river. Trips will be offered on different rivers and lakes representing a range of skill levels, and are open to all women in all watercraft! 

Donations and registration fees benefit the Shannon Christy Memorial Fund, an organization that supports non-profits focused on women’s empowerment, and also benefits the Live Like Maria Fund.

Intro to Whitewater Kayaking

Join a small group of women for an exciting whitewater kayaking introduction! Tailored for new and aspiring female paddlers and focusing on essential whitewater skills with beginner-friendly techniques, we are thrilled to introduce you to the exciting world of kayaking!

Paddlefest Scholarship  

NOC and Mind Body Paddle want to make a more equitable outdoors for all. We are offering scholarships for this event to support a more accessible outdoor community where all are welcome, therefore we are offering up to three scholarships for black, indigenous, and women of color to apply for: 

  • Admission to the weekend of events 
  • Event T-shirt 
  • Group lake paddle with all equipment provided (if applicable) 
  • Saturday Evening Dinner 
  • Friday and Saturday Lodging Accommodations in NOC’s Basecamp

Blue Ridge Bicycle Club’s 20th Annual WNC Flyer presented by Hunter Subaru is a renowned cycling event that showcases the breathtaking natural beauty of the Western North Carolina region. Cyclists from all around gather to participate in this annual ride, which offers four different routes. Whether you’re an avid cyclist seeking a challenging endurance course or a leisure rider just looking to soak in the stunning landscapes, the WNC Flyer has something to suit your riding style. After the ride, the party is at Oskar Blues where they enjoy live music from Blue Ridge Tradition band, local BBQ and craft beer.

This event is brought to you by the Blue Ridge Bicycle Club.  BRBC has donated over $500,000 since 2004 to cycling advocacy and education in Western North Carolina.

The tour is 60 minutes long and includes no stops. The tour is hosted by a zany tour guide, and along the way other characters will hop on the bus and perform kid-centric sketches (Candy Pirate, Ninja, and a Levitator) The tour is not only fun – it’s educational! Kids and adults will learn new and interesting facts about Asheville along the way. There must be 1 adult for every 4 children. We do not allow any unaccompanied children. Malvern Hills Park’s 90 year-old outdoor pool will not open this summer. While we were able to keep the facility operational through last summer, the pool can no longer be repaired to safely meet the needs of our community. For more, read this article.

Max Hornstein is an up-and-coming comedian based out of New York City by way of Minneapolis. He was a finalist of Minnesota’s House of Comedy- Funniest Person with a Day Job Contest in 2022, and has performed at the Hudson Valley Comedy Festival. He is the co-host and co-producer of Washed Up Comedy, an acclaimed pop-up show in a Brooklyn laundromat.

Cal Murata is a comedian in New York City. He was the winner of Minnesota’s House of Comedy – Funniest Person with a Day Job Contest in 2022. He has performed in the 10,000 Laughs, Motor City, West End, and North Carolina Comedy Festivals.
