This workshop will give you the tools you need to remove the effects of stress from your body’s tissues, so it is easier to treat yourself kindly and open yourself up to life’s abundance.
Stress and anxiety are so prevalent in our society that many of us suffer from physical and mental ramifications of these modern manifestations. We get trapped in negative thought patterns, often feeling like we’ll never be able to catch up to some grandiose ambition or impossible expectation. As a result, we experience problems such as chest tightness, back or abdominal ailments, lack of concentration, forgetfulness, etc. The energetic body also responds to modern life stress, which puts us in a constant state of fight or flight. Over time, it may become more difficult to express emotions, release negative energy, and show compassion.
Even if a stressful situation has passed, the effects can linger and compound in our muscles and energetic body. In this workshop, we’ll practice yoga postures and somatic movements that address the issues in the tissues. You will learn a morning somatic sequence that focuses on releasing habitual tension created by the body’s instinctive withdrawal to stress. Next, we will practice a short yoga flow sequence that helps open up the front and back of the chest. Finally, you will learn restorative postures for opening the front body, meant to open your compassionate heart. Take-home handouts with these practices will be offered.

Aaron Wood is quite the renaissance music man. He grew up steeped in the traditions of blues and folk music of North Carolina. His father has shared the stage with the likes of Bill Monroe and Ralph Stanley and performed at The Grand Ole Opry, taking Aaron with him every chance he got. It didn’t take long before the music took hold, and he studied any kind of music he could get his fingers on.
One look at the long list of artists he has shared the stage with exemplifies his diversity and respect from his musical peers. From Jimmy Martin to Leon Russel, R.L. Burnside to Warren Haynes, Sara Evans to Carlos Santana, Aaron has played with and learned from some of those who have helped shaped music into what it is today.
Each Wednesday features a different performer joining Woody on stage.

¡TriskaTrivia! is Evolving!
It is now ¡InterActive TriskaTrivia!
Instead of one theme for the entire night, each round will have it’s own topic/theme… and you get to decide what it is!!!
In between each round, we will vote on a selection of topics, and the next round will be based on the one with the most votes! So… that means, the more people on your team, the more votes you get… and you’ll steer what direction the questions take.
Don’t like sports? Vote for Classic Movies… Don’t like movies? Vote for Comic Books or World Geography…
Top two teams still get Triskelion Gift Certificates (ie Glorious Prizes)…
You can still only have up to 6 people on your team…
There are still six rounds with ten questions each, and there is still a Very Hard Questions round… the only difference is that you get to decide what the topics are…
We start at 7pm promplty and proceed to rapid fire questions that usually last until 8:30…
Come on out and test yer brainz!!!

Brother Oliver is a Greenville-based musical project formed by two brothers, Andrew and Stephen Oliver. The brothers deliver high-energy performances through the lens of a folk-rock and psych-rock aesthetic – a genre they’ve officially coined as “psychedelic folk-rock.”
The band’s explorative approach to music has gained recognition in the Southeast and abroad. This past March, they opened for Steve Miller Band at the Peace Center, and they have been featured on bills alongside Father John Misty, Drake Bell, Old Sea Brigade, Matthew Logan Vasquez, and SUSTO. Their self-titled, full-length album has been regarded as highly innovative in the world of folk-rock music – gaining the attention of Huffington Post, PBS, PopMatters, and AXS.
“Brother Oliver is a folk-rock, psychedelic dream collaboration between two siblings.” – AXS
“Brother Oliver delivers an explosive combination of grit and intellectualism.” – Huffington Post

Folk duo Nickel&Rose join forces with R&B/gospel duo, SistaStrings, to form an exciting and unique quartet, pulling from each other’s lush repertoires in beautiful four part string and vocal harmony.
Nickel&Rose have influences that span the spectrum of American music. Carl’s background brings elements of West African music and Blues while Johanna brings her experience playing Bluegrass, Folk and Jazz. From loss to heart break to love, Nickel&Rose address the human experience with gentle harmonies and soul stirring cries. With a shared appreciation for traditional music and a desire to break rules, the two have have created a unique sound that embodies Americana’s past and future.
The sound of SistaStrings can’t be described in one word. The Milwaukee based sister duo combines their classical background with R&B with a touch of gospel influence that culminates in a vibey, lush sound. With thick string harmonies between violin and cello and soulful voices, SistaStrings takes you on a journey.
