Carlette Jennings is a stand up comic and actor from Queens, living with her husband, a fellow comic and actor, in Decatur, GA. She was selected as a featured performer in the 10th Annual Laughing Skull Comedy Festival. She has worked with Donald Glover on FX’s Atlanta, and can be seen on Hallmark’s Christmas Everlasting with Tatyana Ali and Patti LaBelle. She enjoys food, travel, avoiding manual labor, and pretending to understand wine.

The Autumn Players will be performing a readers theater program of two delightful one-act comedies this summer at Attic Salt Theatre (while ACT is closed). The program is called Love, Marriage and the Irish!: Two Comic One-Acts by JM Barrie and George Bernard Shaw.

Fireworks fly in the drawing room as an unexpected visitor sends Harry Sims Into a tailspin on the day before he is to be knighted in JM Barrie’s delightful play The Twelve Pound Look. And George Bernard Shaw infuses comedy into the terrible experience of war in O’Flaherty, V.C. as he depicts an Irish soldier trying to come to terms with what it means to be a hero. The Twelve Pound Look will be directed by Jim Reid and O’Flaherty, V.C. will be directed by Ellen Pappas.

The plays will be performed as reader’s theatre. All are welcome to audition!

Why should the kids have all the fun this summer? In this new class – for adults! – instructor Tom Chalmers covers the spirit and techniques involved in creating and performing physical comedy.

This course will teach many of the tools used to build a bold physical comedy bit, such as trips, stumbles, falls, takes, doubletakes, slow burns, and more. You’ll learn how to do these stunts sharply and safely! Plus, the class will finish with a limited friends-and-family performance!

Iliza is one of today’s leading comedians with a fan base who show their loyalty by creating their own Iliza inspired swag to wear to her shows. On November 19, 2019, she premiered her 5th Netflix stand up special Unveiled, which delves into her journey of getting married. Her past specials include War Paint, Freezing Hot, and Confirmed KillsIliza’s last Netflix special, 2018’s Elder Millennial, is the subject of Iliza Shlesinger: Over & Over, her “fan-u-mentary” which is currently streaming and gives fans an inside look into what goes into the making of one of her specials. She recently wrapped production on The Iliza Shlesinger Sketch Show for Netflix which will premiere in April 2020.

Jono Zalay began his standup career in Boston, while simultaneously earning his Doctorate in Neuroscience (he gave cocaine to rats). Since dropping his science hobby to pursue comedy full time, Jono has been named one of Comedy Central’s ‘Comics to Watch,’ and earned international press for his pranks on the DMV. Jono now lives in Los Angeles where he has written comedy for FOX, Amazon, and Comedy Central. He has been featured in over 30 comedy festivals around the country including Bridgetown, Big Sky, Limestone, and New York Comedy Festival.
