Asheville urban hike 5+ miles
Please join us for a brisk downtown hike! The planned route will include neighborhoods, wooded trail, and views of the city from the ridge. We planned this route with the lovely views and fall foliage in mind. 🍁🍂
Please remember to bring or wear a headlamp, bright colors, and reflective gear if you have it. Keep in mind that we will be walking on some roads without sidewalks however, they are not heavily trafficked. 🦺
We will start and end the hike at White Labs where we can enjoy food and drinks after.

Join us for an enriching and experiential meetup, where we’ll explore the powerful connection between body, mind, and heart. The session will begin with a Meditation for Emotional Healing, a proven method to alleviate the impact of unhealthy emotions. Led by Bill, a Heartfulness meditation certified trainer and valued member of our meetup, this 15-20 minute meditation invites both beginners and experienced practitioners to delve into the transformative journey of inner balance. We’ll follow up with an emotion identification and coloring exercise. Come, engage in these exercises designed to deepen your connection with self, and discover the profound synergy of mind-body-heart alignment.

The North Asheville Book Club meets in-person on the 3rd Tuesday of every month.
Register so we can reach out and contact you as we prepare for our first meeting! Books will be distributed at the first meeting. This book club is for adults 18+.
Meetings will be on Tuesday evenings from 5:30-7pm (meeting location will be emailed once attendance is finalized)

The YMCA Mobile Market takes place in the Enka-Candler Library community room. Bring your grocery bags and get fresh food for your family. The market provides fresh produce paired with healthy recipes and a Community Engagement Table with valuable services. The Buncombe County Healthy Living Mobile Unit administers free vaccines, referrals, harm reduction resources, health education, and community resource navigation. While you’re here, stop over to get a library card if you don’t have one, pick up a cookbook or two to experiment with your bundle of groceries, or grab a DVD to watch while snacking. Distributions are FREE and all community members are welcome. |

Please join us at The 2nd Act in Hendersonville, NC for our first monthly book club meeting that strives to read books that create a closer knit and more inclusive community! We will meet virtually and in person monthly to discuss a book, so read the book and then join in the discussion in person or online every third Thursday. All are welcome! At the end of each meeting we will vote on the next book! The virtual club meeting will be in Zoom format and will meet 2.5 hours after the in-person meeting (8:00pm EST).
