The need continues! Sign up today for one of two American Red Cross blood donation drives to be held at Asheville Outlets. Each drive will be held in Suite 348 across from the RH Outlet. Dates are Saturday, January 2 from 10:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. and Wednesday, January 6 from 11:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. For more information, visit ShopAshevilleOutlets.com.

Donors are asked to register in advance by visiting RedCrossBlood.org/give and entering the sponsor code AshevilleOutlets. Check-in will be located at the Food Court entrance to the center. Donors will be able to wait in their vehicles or inside the Food Court until their appointment time. All Blood Donations are tested for COVID-19 Antibody. If you cannot donate blood, you can still help by making a monetary donation at RedCross.org/donate/donation.

YPA Candy-Grams for the healthcare workers at MAHEC and the women of Project Cara

YPA is making candy grams for the healthcare workers at MAHEC and the women of Project Cara! Individual packets will be prepared for each YPA member to help write and assemble Valentine’s cards! We are staggering times to allow for small groups and social distancing, so you can sign up for either 5:15 pm- 5:45 pm, or 5:45 pm – 6:15 pm. And be sure to wear your mask!
Mountain Area Health Education Center (MAHEC) was established in 1974 to improve training and retention of healthcare professionals across Western North Carolina (WNC). Project CARA, housed at MAHEC Ob/Gyn Specialists, has supported women with substance use disorders since 2014. The Project CARA team provides comprehensive substance use care using current evidence-based practices. They are committed to providing a judgment-free environment where women can feel safe and supported.

The Need Continues, Sign Up Today! In response to continued demand, Asheville Outlets will host two blood drives in the month of February:

• Saturday, February 13 from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Asheville Outlets will partner with the American Red Cross for a donation drive in Suite 348 located across from RH Outlet. • Saturday, February 20 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. The Blood Connection Blood Mobile will be in the Asheville Outlets’ parking lot behind the food court. Check-in will be located next to the bus. Blood donation organizers will practice social distancing procedures and advanced safety protocols. The Food and Drug Administration (FDA) has stated that the coronavirus (COVID-19) does not pose any known risk to blood donors during the donation process or from attending blood drives, and that it is safe to donate blood.
