Friday and Saturday performances are held at Asheville Community Theatre; Sunday performances are held at the Reuter Center on the campus of UNCA. All shows at 2:30 pm.

This show was originally scheduled for June 16, 2020, and then November 10, 2020. Previously purchased tickets will be honored at the rescheduled date. Deadline to request a refund is September 21, 2020.
For nearly a decade, We Hate Movies has been ripping on the worst movies to hit the big screen, including white-guy-karate pictures, modern-day superhero epics, or misbegotten 90s thrillers. On their first full tour of 2019, hosts Andrew Jupin, Stephen Sajdak, Chris Cabin, and Eric Szyszka bring their antic and uproarious takes on bad movies to the stage once again. The boys will be on hand to break down everything from incomprehensible accents and cheap CGI to dated references and one liners that make you yearn for the sweet embrace of the grave. There might also be talk of Secundus and cold Burger King. Film to be announced.

America’s favorite ventriloquist has just released his next Netflix Originals Stand-up Special, “Jeff Dunham: Beside Himself”, taped June 21st and 22nd at the American Airlines Center in his hometown of Dallas, TX. In addition to his usual cast of accomplices, Dunham introduces a brand new, never seen-on-TV character who gives his unique take on what it’s like to work at the White House under Trump. Following the success of 2017’s “Jeff Dunham: Relative Disaster,” the new show is Dunham’s second special for Netflix Originals, and the ninth in his impressive string of record-breaking stand up television events.

For over 20 years, ‘America’s Funnyman’ Neil Hamburger has worked every imaginable stage, from New York’s Madison Square Garden and the UK’s Reading Festival, to a Hollywood cemetery, Tasmanian pubs, and an abandoned monkey cage in a decrepit Catskills zoo.
He has performed countless headlining American, Australian, British, and Canadian tours, as well as shows in Norway, New Zealand, Ireland, and the Bahamas. He has toured internationally as the cherry-picked opening act for Tenacious D and Faith No More.
Neil Hamburger was the subject of the critically acclaimed dramatic 2015 feature film Entertainment, co-starring John C. Reilly, Tye Sheridan, and Michael Cera. Neil’s many TV credits include Tim and Eric Awesome Show, Tom Green Live,and Jimmy Kimmel Live.
Among his dozen album releases is Live at Third Man, produced by Jack White in Nashville; an earlier Hamburger effort was included in SPIN’s ‘40 Greatest Comedy Albums of All Time’. His latest LP, the chamber-pop epic Still Dwelling, features guest appearances from Jack Black and Mike Patton.

Mike Birbiglia is a comedian, storyteller, director, podcaster, producer, and actor who has performed in front of audiences worldwide. His solo shows “Sleepwalk With Me,” “My Girlfriend’s Boyfriend,” “Thank God For Jokes,” and “The New One” enjoyed successful off Broadway runs and his most recent show “The New One” moved to Broadway where he received the Drama Desk Award for outstanding solo performance. “The New One” and “Thank God For Jokes” became critically acclaimed Netflix specials. Birbiglia also wrote, directed and starred in the films “Sleepwalk with Me” and “Don’t Think Twice.” His books, “Sleepwalk with Me and Other Painfully True Stories” and “The New One” are both National Bestsellers. He’s appeared in the films “Trainwreck,” “The Fault in Our Stars” and “Popstar” as well as TV roles in “Orange Is the New Black” and “Billions.” He hosts a podcast, “Mike Birbiglia’s Working It Out,” and is currently touring material from his newest show “The Old Man and The Pool.”

This small company of pre-professional actors in 8th-12th grades will meet weekly at Flat Rock Playhouse for advanced training and rehearsals as they dive into the development of theatrical work incorporating acting, singing, and dance.
Auditions will be held BY APPOINTMENT ONLY on Wednesday, December 8, between 5 – 8 PM.
Teen Ensemble is Studio 52’s all-new, audition-only class featuring the top teen creative artists in the area. This small company of pre-professional actors in 8th-12th grades meets weekly at Flat Rock Playhouse for advanced training and rehearsals as they dive into the development of theatrical work incorporating acting, singing, and dance.
Auditions will be held by appointment only on Wednesday, December 8 between 5 – 8 PM.
