Pique Young Professionals Event Rescheduled for September 14th
|
Amid uncertainty about when large gatherings will be permitted or advisable, Ten at the Top has made the decision to postpone their signature young professional event, Pique, until September 14th. It was originally scheduled for March 23rd and had been rescheduled for June 15th. The event will still be held at the Huguenot Mill and Loft in downtown Greenville, with ScanSource as the presenting sponsor, and local author Sallie Holder as the keynote speaker.
Attendees who have already purchased tickets will be issued a refund if they are unable to attend at the later date; those who have tickets and do still wish to attend do not need to take any further action.
The event focuses on connecting young professionals across the Upstate, giving them opportunities to network as well as to hear from experts on topics that are relevant to their working lives.

This program takes place via Zoom.
Join the Museum, Well Played Board Game Café, and Devil’s Foot Beverage Company for this fun program centered around card games! After mixing up some ginger-beer cocktails with Devil’s Foot, Kevan Frazier, co-owner of Well Played and a former history professor, gives a brief look at the history of card games and card games as art—including unexpected card games in the Museum’s Collection. Tanner Johnson, gamemaster at Well Played, then introduces Draft-a-Dragon, a card game he created in 2017, and teaches us how to play.
Space is limited; to register, email Kristen Boddy, membership & Museum events manager, or call 828.253.3227 x117. Museum brainteasers and Zoom login information will be emailed to participants prior to the program.

- Order a variety of ginger beers, lemonades, limeades, and other cool brews from Devil’s Foot for pickup or delivery. (Pssst… they’ve got cool merch, too!)

Join us for the second webinar in our FREE Recycling Resilience series and get the resources you need to adapt and thrive. While questions and uncertainty are swirling about what a new recycling “normal” will look like, communities are committed to recycling. Programs across the Carolinas are showing creativity and resiliency. Many are achieving a delicate balance to keep employees safe while maintaining core services. Others are making sure residents continue to receive the recycling services they value despite tight budgets at the local level. NC DEACS and SC DHEC will provide a bird’s eye view of what’s happening in the two states and outline strategies that are keeping programs evolving. This event is free but registration is required. Please register now and we look forward to speaking with you!

| Don’t leave for a holiday vacation or staycation without taking time to connect once more with your colleagues in the business community!
Our Business After Hours is still virtual, but there’s time for quality contacts and sharing of great ideas. We’ll break into small groups to engage each other in conversation; be prepared to socialize and share thoughts about what’s going on in your world — work-related or not! We’ll throw in a few fun questions to get everyone started. If you’d like to contribute a door prize, let us know when you register so we can be prepared to recognize you! A list of all attendees registered will be shared with everyone following the event. Not so sure about the Zoom format? Here’s what one participant had to say: “I really like these virtual breakouts. I meet people I wouldn’t have met; it feels just structured enough, but still comfortable.” |
