Teen Ensemble is Studio 52’s all-new, audition-only class featuring the top teen creative artists in the area. This small company of pre-professional actors in 8th-12th grades meets weekly at Flat Rock Playhouse for advanced training and rehearsals as they dive into the development of theatrical work incorporating acting, singing, and dance.
Auditions will be held by appointment only on Wednesday, December 8 between 5 – 8 PM.
Please email [email protected] with the subject line “Teen Ensemble Auditions” to reserve a 5-minute audition slot. Students must prepare 16-32 bars (approximately 1 minute) of a song. Students may sing a cappella or bring sheet music for the Studio 52 accompanist. Once your appointment time is reserved, more information will be sent regarding audition location and logistics.
Selected actors are expected to attend all classes and rehearsals. Please read about our COVID Safety Guidelines here. All students will be contacted via email by Friday, December 17 about final casting decisions.
Join your Not Dead Yet friends for holiday cheer and lots of laughs as we will partake in a big game of Dirty Santa. Feel free to wear your sparkles and sequins, or your favorite holiday sweater, ugly or not!
Each of us will bring a well disguised, wrapped gift for the Dirty Santa game. More details about the game and rules will be included via email to RSVP’d attendees.
There is not a limit to the number of us who can attend, but there is a prerequisite: you need to have attended at least one NDY meetup event. There is currently a Holiday Lights NDY event on the calendar so if you have not yet been able to join us… there is still opportunity!

Come meet new people and participate in our BINGO game and social hour. Prizes are donated. Our January tradition is to bring and share your holiday re-gifts! Please bring a little something to share if you’re able. There is no cost to play. Due to Covid we are limiting participation to adults. Advance registration will be required. In this class, students will learn how and what material to prepare for auditions, get tips on calming anxiety and nerves, and have the opportunity to get coaching on pre-prepared songs or monologues. Whether you’re a first-time auditionee, stepping back into theatre after some time off, or adding new material to your audition repertoire, this class will get you feeling ready to put your best foot forward!

Singo will run from 7-8:15 pm.
No reservations needed, just get ready for a good time and a chance to win some Down Dog prizes!

AUDITION DATES: Monday, February 7 and Tuesday, February 8, 2021; 5:30-7:30 pm
PRODUCTION DATES: April 22-May 15, 2022; Performances Fridays and Saturdays at 7:30 pm, Sundays at 2:30 pm; Cast must plan to arrive at least 1 hour prior to show time.
REHEARSALS: Full rehearsal calendar available at auditions – you are able to list any conflicts you have with the rehearsal schedule at this time.
DIRECTOR SEEKS: Actors of any gender identity, race or ethnicity will be considered for any desired role indicated on their audition sheet. All roles will be presented as they are gendered in the script.
