Synopsis:
Flailing 34-year-old Bridget (Kelly O’Sullivan) finally catches a break when she meets a nice guy and lands a much-needed job nannying six-year-old Frances (played by a scene-stealing Ramona Edith-Williams). But an unwanted pregnancy introduces an unexpected complication. To make matters worse, she clashes with the obstinate Frances and struggles to navigate a growing tension between Frances’ moms. The next Asheville Movie Guys screening will be at 7 p.m. on Monday, March 30, with a virtual discussion of Noah Baumbach’s Oscar-winning “Marriage Story.”
Everyone is welcome to watch the film on Netflix prior to the event, then join us for the discussion, which will take place via a Facebook Live video feed from the Asheville Movie Guys’ Facebook page. Bruce Steele and Edwin Arnaudin of Asheville Movies.com will do their usual post-screening discussion, including behind-the-scenes details on the making of the film, then open the (digital) floor for attendees to respond. Questions may be submitted by comment within Facebook or via email to [email protected].
There is no charge for this event. Patrons are encouraged to consider buying Fine Arts Theatre gift cards worth $5 or more at fineartstheatre.com to keep the theater afloat until it can reopen (when you can then cash in those gift cards), but no purchase is required.
The first 20 patrons who purchase a Fine Arts gift card and send a copy of their receipt to [email protected] by April 5 will receive a coupon for free popcorn. The coupon can be redeemed once the theater reopens, and will be honored through the end of 2020.
The Movie Guys plan to offer live-streamed discussions every couple of weeks until the Fine Arts reopens. Please join us on March 30 and check back for details on future events.

Synopsis:
