Virtual Israeli Film Series Discussion: The Impure
Nov 15 @ 5:00 pm – 6:00 pm
Online

WINNER of the Warsaw Phoenix for the best documentary film from the Warsaw Jewish Motifs Film Festival, 2018

Thousands of Jewish women were brought to Argentinian brothels from Eastern Europe in the early 20th century. Their pimps, also Jewish, were regarded as “impure” by the “normative” Jewish community. So were the unfortunate women. Through his own family story, the director unveils the complex relationship between the women trafficking organizations and the rest of the Jewish community which was deeply ashamed by their co-religionists activities while enjoying their economic riches.

Watch THE IMPURE on your own on the screening site ChaiFlicks here. ChaiFlicks is $5.99 a month, and all 7 films in the Virtual Israeli Film Series will be available from the site.

Green Mother Activations
Nov 16 @ 11:00 am – 12:30 pm
Online

RECEIVE YOUR GREEN MOTHER LIGHT CODES!
Join us in this new series of Goddess Channeling and Alignment Circles that will occur every Monday at 11:00 am EST for 13 weeks beginning Sept 21st.

The GREEN MOTHER ACTIVATIONS are being transmitted specifically at this time in our evolution as a way to offer Divine Support to seekers throughout the current global paradigm shift. Through the Green Mother Activations, we will ground into a solid foundation of unity consciousness and power that will support and sustain us through times of uncertainty in our world.

Throughout this series of 13 Green Mother Activations, we receive deeper understandings and practical tools that dissolve fear and resistance to the ascension process. We awaken to our gifts and talents, new forms of expression we may not have had access to before. We can then move forward with ease and grace, navigating challenging emotions and experiences from an inner place of strength, clarity and alignment with GAIA. Instead of disconnecting from ourselves, which often feels like we are falling apart, we will choose to come into alignment with our own Divine Source.

Ana Estrada is a Quantum Light Practitioner with more than 25 years experience of working consciously with Beings of Light and Ascended Masters. Her graduate degrees in Transformative Art and Spirituality took her to the Amazon jungles and the temples of India where she studied shamanic cultures and visionary art making processes. She is certified as an Intuitive Energy Healer in various healing modalities and serves as a channel for the Divine Mother and her sacred Light Language. Ana offers Quantum Light Alignment Sessions privately and at sacred sites around the world.

See What 2021 Will Bring–Benjamin Bernstein’s Annual Astrological Forecast
Nov 20 @ 7:00 pm – 9:00 pm
Online

See What 2021 Will Bring--Benjamin Bernstein's Annual Astrological Forecast

The astrology of 2020 has already turned the world upside down. So what can we expect in 2021?

AFOA founding member Benjamin Bernstein will give his annual forecast lecture via Zoom on Friday, November 20 at 7 PM US Eastern Time. This call may reach capacity, so consider joining 10 minutes early to guarantee your space. The Zoom info is at the end of this announcement.

Benjamin will put special focus on 2021’s headline event, a powerful Saturn-Uranus square that lasts the entire year. (One of its central themes will be the rapid breakdown of existing structures, as well as the quick rise of new ones.) He’ll also predict when this square’s effects will be most powerful, based on the timing of Mars-Saturn-Uranus T-squares and other catalyzing events.

Benjamin will also discuss the Jupiter-Saturn conjunction in the first degree of Aquarius on 12/21/20, and its continuing effects in 2021. Does the extraordinary timing of this Great Conjunction mark the true beginning of the Aquarian Age?

Additional topics will include Saturn in Aquarius and Jupiter in Aquarius and Pisces. We’ll also explore the 2021 eclipses and the surprising prominence of Vesta in 2021’s aspect patterns. Is it time to devote more time and energy to serving the greater good?

Watch + Discuss: Guardians of Our Trouble Waters
Dec 3 @ 5:30 pm – 7:30 pm
Zoom Webinar

Join us Thursday, December 3 for this virtual film screening event!

Award-winning film director David Weintraub has been an oral historian and filmmaker for over 20 years. His films have appeared on PBS stations around the country and at film festivals around the world. Weintraub’s latest documentary Guardians of Our Troubled Waters, tells the story of our early communities and their deep connections to their rivers and streams as a source of spiritual sustenance, as their lifeblood, and as a critical component of their livelihood; how that changed during the industrial era when paper mills, tanneries, and other manufacturing plants turned clean, protected water into moving cesspools; and the heroes who rose to challenge the destruction. So much of our environmental consciousness and economic vitality sprung from the champions of our waterways of the past. So much of our future depends upon our ability to continue their legacy today.

Guardians focuses on three communities — Western North Carolina, East Tennessee, and South Florida, the stewardship efforts that grew to protect the French Broad River, the Pigeon River, and the Everglades, and the lessons learned for today’s world.

The Details
Location: Zoom webinar – a link will be sent to all registered participants in advance of the event
Time: The documentary screening will begin at 5:30pm and the film runs approximately 77 minutes. Afterward, the director will answer audience questions.

This event is brought to you by the Western North Carolina Historical Association and the Osher Lifelong Learning Institute at UNC Asheville.

Law of Attraction Discussion Group — Visualization exercises in LOA
Dec 9 @ 7:00 pm – 8:30 pm
Online
Law of Attraction (LOA) is a powerful guideline that can be utilized within our lives, and impacts ourselves as well as the collective consciousness. Let’s discuss practical, everyday ways we use and apply these tools in 2020! This session’s discussion will be, “Visualization exercises in LOA.” No advance prep, reading or knowledge required. Come with an open mind and heart, free of judgement, and let’s learn together! This is an inclusive, informal, interactive discussion for people will all levels of LOA understanding.

Some other topics we will cover in future discussions include:
– How to utilize LOA to manifest best case scenarios
– Gratitude practices as a tool in manifestation
– Honoring your own feelings, emotions and well being (and others) as a form of self care while manifesting
– Staying grounded, avoiding toxic positivity and spiritual bypassing when manifesting
– Visualization exercises in LOA
– Manifesting on specific themes (love, money, good health, etc.)

Discussions will be held by Kathryn Brahaney, myself. I’ve utilized Law of Attraction in having a significantly better recovery than anticipated from two major car accidents, in receiving a job offer that allowed me to relocate to Asheville, NC (where I live now) and in finding my favorite apartment to date in a city I wasn’t sure would be in my budget. I started these discussions to share my experience using Law of Attraction and to provide opportunities to learn more that are accessible and affordable. Looking forward to sharing more with you all and chatting about how we can use LOA in navigating the rest of 2020 and beyond!
