The Outdoor Economy Asheville BAC Online Meeting
Jun 3 @ 11:30 am – 1:00 pm
Online

Please join us for the next BAC Meeting.

Our topic will be: “The Outdoor Economy”.

For our discussion this month, we will be talking with Brian Johnson, Navitat’s director of operations, about the importance of the outdoor economy for the Asheville and greater western NC area.

We will start with some networking at 11:30 a.m. before the program begins at noon; please arrive early.

Generally, Goodwill provides lunch at these meetings. But under the current circumstances, this meeting will be a virtual potluck!

Things to do to prepare for the event:

  1. Support a local restaurant by getting take-out to bring to the event.
  2. When you join, we encourage you to join with video so we can see your smiling face.
  3. Bring any questions you may have for this amazing group of speakers.

Once you have registered, a link to the meeting will be sent to you.

Asheville Women in Tech
Jun 8 @ 7:00 pm – 8:00 pm
Online w/ Asheville Women in Tech

VIRTUAL MEETING: Asheville Women in Tech

Hey Asheville women! Are you a coder, a developer, a designer, an architect of information? This is a group for Asheville women in tech who want a collaborative and supportive space to bring projects to workshops, participate in tutorials facilitated by other members, spark new ideas, write practice code, and develop cool stuff. Maybe (like me) you’re just getting started, and you wish you could bounce ideas off someone, or just ask them how to center that block of text on the page? You should come! We’ll work it out together. Or maybe you’re a veteran web developer who thinks rookies are brave (possibly foolish) souls with no idea what they’re getting into? Please come tell us all the things you wish someone had told you! Let’s skill-share, meet other women in the biz, learn new things, and give each other a leg up!

We’re on Slack!

Everything from managing remote employees to living in a world where the line has become blurred between what happens online and offline, means what worked last year could be ineffective in the coming years. Managers and supervisors need to learn how to adapt to a compromised economy and an up-and-coming workforce that’s progressively challenging the “status quo” for work ethics and work habits.
