Celebration Time: Leicester Library Turns 20

The Leicester Library turns twenty this November, and we want to celebrate with you! Join us on Saturday, Nov/ 6 from 6-8 p.m. for an evening celebration of art, music, cake, and memories. Come see the wonderful community art project 20 Views of Leicester Library, featuring local artists who have shared their view of the library and what it means to them. There will also be live music, cake, and a stroll down memory lane.

We’ll also mark our birthday with a Family Fun Day on Saturday, Nov. 13 from 1-4 p.m. There will be lots of games and outside activities for all ages. The rain date for this event is Nov. 20.

Everyone has a story. Many of us attempt to put our story in writing.  Some of us get published. An even smaller number can take credit for having written something of lasting value.

On eight evenings from September to December at the West Asheville Library, the Wilma Dykeman Legacy will celebrate four memoirs of lasting value from the mountains of Western North Carolina. These sessions will be offered in person and online
