Asheville Outlets (www.shopashevilleoutlets.com) and Food Truck Festivals of America are excited to present the 2nd annual Asheville Food Truck & Craft Beer Festival Saturday, October 6th, from 12 noon to 5 p.m. (VIP hour 11 a.m. – 12 noon). While some of North Carolina’s most popular food trucks dish out fan favorites, craft ales and beers will be available for sale. There will also be music playing, lawn games to enjoy, and an artisan market where local artists will showcase their work.
Visitors will find the festival located next to Field & Stream. Tickets $5 in advance online and $10 day of. Children 12 and under are free. Food and Beer sold separately. The RVA/Charlottesville Space-Folk Jam band The Moonbees will be bringing their fresh and funky grooves and hot honey melodies to Jack of the Wood for a night of good times and great vibes! The Moonbees brand new upcoming release (Now That’s What I Call The Moonbees) will be availble as a part of a three night only special pre-release promotion.
Back in 2015 Buxton Hall threw our first ever dance party and man, was it a hit, and we can’t stop, won’t stop. We’re throwing a giant spooky, music-infused, dance-off, costumed extravaganza – in partnership with 103.3 AshevilleFM. After trick-or-treating, come on down to Buxton Hall for a late-night haunted dance party with rotating DJs, dancing, and little delicious spooky Buxton bites. The event kicks off 103.3 AshevilleFM’s Fall Fund Drive – just a $5 donation at the door.

TRYON, NC — The Carolina Foothills Chamber of Commerce will present the 25th Annual Shuckin’ and Shakin’ event from 5 to 11 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 27, at the Harmon Field air gym.
Activities include live DJ dance music, all-you-can-eat seafood consisting of oysters roasted over an open fire, shrimp, mussels, barbecue chicken wings, authentic gumbo, coleslaw, rolls, iced tea, coffee, desserts and a great selection of draft beers and wine.
A bonfire will light up the sky after dark as guests dance away the hours.

What has you hesitating around your handstand practice? Fear of falling? This workshop will provide the foundational tools to build a strong, safe handstand practice.
Farrell will lead this workshop and will cover:
1. Kicking up in efficient, stable ways.
2. Using the wall for strengthening.
3. Wrist and shoulder care.
4. Identifying common obstacles and how to remedy them.
5. How to build handstands into your life.
6. Various alignment tips and tricks and tidbits.
This is an ALL-LEVELS workshop. The only requirement is the dream to do a handstand. Farrell will meet you where you are on your handstand journey and help you to take the next steps forward. Though handstands are super serious business, the workshop will be fun and playful. Don’t let your dreams be dreams, by this time next year you WILL be handstanding.

The Asheville Affiliates, was founded in 1999 as a social networking group for young professionals to benefit area nonprofits. The organization has grown into a community network of more than 3,000 members. The organization has raised more than $265,000 for 50 nonprofits.
