This year Eblen celebrates 30 years of serving our community and helping those in need.
Our mission is to provide assistance to families and individuals in our community during times of crisis and hardship whether medical, financial or an emergency need.
We would like to celebrate our 30th with the Eblen Charities $30 for the 30th fundraising event.
Due to the generosity of a long-time friend, our first $10,000 in donations will be matched! Please help us take advantage of this wonderful opportunity.

The Friends of the Weaverville Library (FOWL) are excited to announce the opening of their used bookstore in Weaverville on Thursday, July 8. Located in the lower level of the Weaverville Library at 41 N. Main St., the store will be open Thursdays 1-5 p.m., Fridays and Saturdays 11 a.m.-2 p.m., with expanded hours beginning in September. The store is stocked with thousands of books, audiobooks, CDs, DVDs, and more. All adult books are priced at $1.50-$3.00, children and teen books at $1.00-$1.50, audio and video at $2.00.
There is also a bargain-priced area and a collection of special finds that are priced individually. Please feel free to contact us at 828-641-1812 or [email protected]. All proceeds from the store will benefit the Weaverville Library.

Join Tamsin Allpress, Head of the Flat Rock Playhouse Master Gardeners, on November 6th from 9:30 am – 12:30 pm for a hands-on workshop about controlling the Woolly Adelgid on hemlock trees. This program will be held at the Flat Rock Playhouse gardens to teach homeowners how to save and plant more hemlock trees. Fairview Library Book Sale
Saturday, Nov. 6 from 10 a.m.-3 p.m.
This one-day sale of special and collectible books will be held indoors with masking required and social distancing observed. There will be a wide variety in subjects and ages of the books plus some special CDs available as well. Proceeds from the sale support family programming at the library.

The Leicester Library turns twenty this November, and we want to celebrate with you! Join us on Saturday, Nov/ 6 from 6-8 p.m. for an evening celebration of art, music, cake, and memories. Come see the wonderful community art project 20 Views of Leicester Library, featuring local artists who have shared their view of the library and what it means to them. There will also be live music, cake, and a stroll down memory lane.
We’ll also mark our birthday with a Family Fun Day on Saturday, Nov. 13 from 1-4 p.m. There will be lots of games and outside activities for all ages. The rain date for this event is Nov. 20.
There’s no registration necessary for either of these events, but masks and social distancing will be required indoors. These free events are sponsored by the Friends of Leicester Library and everyone is welcome. Please come help us celebrate this library and its wonderful community.
