WALTZ: LEVEL-ONE BEGINNER, 1½ – Hour Class
Saturday, November 19th, 12:45 to 2:15 pm. at the Grey Eagle Music Hall, 185 Clingman Ave., Asheville. Learn this beautiful, popular dance. Taught by UCWDC World Champions Richard & Sue Cicchetti. Richard is a DVIDA Certified Dance Instructor. You will learn correctly from his clear instructions. With Richard’s progressive method you will learn how to remember steps and how to transition seamlessly from one step to the next. Singles are welcome. No partner is needed, bring one if you can. Beginner’s workshop lesson at 7:30 P.M., then 8-11 P.M. Contra Dance with Country Waltzing at the break and the final dance. This is a partner dance but it’s not necessary to come with a partner. We have different live bands and callers.

Continuing the reinvented holiday classic, this production highlights Victorian societal expectations and prosperity while Clara and her beloved Nutcracker dance their way through the cherished landmarks and stunning scenery of Greenville and into the hearts of the audience.
The libretto is adapted from E.T. A. Hoffmann’s classic story, The Nutcracker and the Mouse King. Choreographed by Hernan Justo, the refreshed ballet is based on the original Marius Petipa and Lev Ivanov ballet.

music, open vintage space and wood floors and is guaranteed to have you dancing East Coast and/or Lindy all night long, A free
lesson is offered to kick things off and will include a different combination of moves each time, No partner or rhythm needed and
dress is casual, $10 for lesson and/or social dance.

Marley Carroll’s unassuming origins as a classically-trained percussionist were shattered after he took top honors at a statewide DJ battle at the age of 17. The experience catapulted him into notoriety and catalyzed his path towards career musicianship.
