Ride the Winter Lights Trolley Friday November 28 and select Fridays and Saturdays in December. Trolleys depart from Biltmore Park Town Square every half hour, beginning at 5:30 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Tickets are $50 per-person and available select dates only.
YMI’s Banjul-Banjo Music Series presents Jazz & Soul Sessions @YMI is a vibrant new concert series featuring nationally acclaimed artists Kelle Jolly and Will Boyd, making up a dynamic five member house band.
Hosted at the historic YMI Cultural Center, this initiative honors the history and celebrates the rhythm of our legacy in the heart of Asheville, NC.

Alan Mearns was born in Belfast, Northern Ireland. He began his musical studies with the classical violin at age five, switching to the guitar at age ten. Moving to the United States in his late teens, he studied classical guitar performance at Appalachian State University (where he held the prestigious Fletcher Scholarship) and as a graduate assistant at Austin Peay State University (where he received the Outstanding Graduate Student Award, 2003).

Created by Asheville Plays and hosted by the Adventure Center of Asheville, this immersive journey guides guests through the Kingdom of Winterland, where each page of the story comes to life with delightful characters and heartwarming surprises. This family-friendly event has been created with everyone in minde, no matter your age or what you may celebrate during the winter holiday season. Winter Wonder Walk includes the outdoor storywalk, a heated holiday tent featuring a local vendor market, a kids’ play area, and several tasty concession and beverage options. Guests ages 4+ can also enjoy the Treetops Adventure Park Glow Trail, aglow with thousands of twinkling lights. Every ticket purchased helps spread joy even further—each one supports MANNA FoodBank and their mission to feed our community.Kids 12 and younger can earn a free general admission ticket by participating in our “S’Mitten With Books” reading program! Lillie Syracuse’s music pours deep from the heart of the in between. For a decade, Lillie honed her craft in Nashville, TN, where she wrote and released her debut album Coming Up Diamonds in 2020, with producer and Grammy-nominated drummer Mike Marsh (The Avett Brothers, Dashboard Confessional).

CarolinAloha is the fusion of three deep passions: the mountains, the ocean, and music. Created by master slide guitarist Billy Cardine, the project draws rich inspiration from the timeless beauty of Hawaiian music.
Cardine has been recognized as a slide guitar pioneer, taking the dobro into unchartered musical genres. His distinct voice on all things slide has led him to collaborations with Led Zeppelin’s John Paul Jones, world-renowned bassist Edgar Meyer in Porous Borders of Music and alongside Jerry Douglas on Southern Filibuster. His unique slide work spans a wide spectrum of genres-from gypsy jazz to bluegrass-and has taken him across North America, Europe, and Asia. He has played legendary stages including Carnegie Hall, The Ryman Auditorium, The Grand Ole Opry, MerleFest, Bonnaroo, and RockyGrass, among many others.
Cocktail table seating upfront is available as well a bar for refreshments located in the theater.

The Asheville Symphony combines forces with the incredible Cirque de la Symphonie for a family-friendly holiday-themed performance featuring favorite tunes from Tchaikovsky, John Williams, Brahms, and much more — all while acrobats perform death-defying feats, tumbling through the air and across the stage.
Members of the Asheville Symphony Youth Orchestra will join the Asheville Symphony Orchestra for select pieces, celebrating the amazing talent of our student musicians on this performance!

Bullington Gardens will host its beloved Annual Holiday Greenery and Craft Sale on Friday, December 5, and Saturday, December 6, from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. at 95 Upper Red Oak Trail, Hendersonville. This festive fundraiser offers visitors the opportunity to shop for fresh, locally sourced holiday greenery and unique handcrafted gifts while supporting Bullington Gardens’ mission of education, horticultural therapy, and community enrichment.
Fresh Fraser Firs & Wreaths. Fraser fir trees, freshly cut in the mountains of North Carolina, will be available in three sizes. Orders may be placed online through November 24 for convenient pickup on December 5 or 6. Visit www.bullingtongardens.org or call 828-698-6104 to order.

The in-person sale will feature decorated wreaths and swags, locally grown holiday plants such as cyclamen, amaryllis, and poinsettias, plus an array of handcrafted, nature-inspired gifts made by Bullington’s own talented “elves.” Shoppers can choose from ornaments, textiles, botanical beauty products, and more — perfect for holiday giving.
A Celebration with Purpose

“Bakers of every age are encouraged to create their best gingerbread man or woman, boy or girl! We are looking for the most artistic creations the entrants can cook up,” said Barbara Hughes, owner of Narnia Studios. There are four categories: traditional, unusual, bakers under 14 and teamwork”, added Hughes.
The rules are simple: they must be 100% edible and the deadline for entries is December 1, 2025. We will announce the winners during our 29th Annual Christmas Open House on December 2nd and have all the cookies on display throughout that weekend.
