Lord Nelson have been covering the backroads and highways of this country, bringing their version of rock ’n roll to anyone that will listen. Rooted in central Virginia, the songs depict a landscape of hard choices with a wry sense of humor. Leaning into the curve, aware of the choices that put you on that bend. Bringing together folk, rock, blues, and country in the most natural sense, their latest studio album, “Transmission”, charted on the Americana charts and garnered play across the country. Melissa Carper and Theo Lawrence barely knew each other when they started singing songs together in the fall of 2023. Little introduction was needed to get down to action (get down to business or get into the action) because what these two were supposed (intended or meant?) to do together went without saying : songs needed to be written, harmonies had to be sung and an album must be made.

Join your host Kristin Hillegas, for a one-hour Serenity Sound Bath and experience a deeply immersive, full-body sound and vibrational experience. A sound bath can cleanse your soul, restore your balance, surround you with peace and tranquility and stimulate healing.
Note: Please bring a yoga mat/pillow/blanket since you will be lying on the floor. Wear warm, comfortable, and flexible clothing.
The Sound Bath will take place upstairs in the Education Building. Choose your space starting at 12:45PM, doors close promptly at 1:00 PM.
This service is being offered on a Love Offering basis.(Suggested Value $25) Donations allow us to continue to provide these immersive experiences.
Accessible parking is available in the Center for Spiritual Living Asheville upper parking lot. The entrance to the upper parking lot is off of S. Bear Creek Rd between Science of Mind Way and Sand Hill Rd.
There is a boardwalk walk-way from the upper parking lot to the building entrance.

A native of Chicago, Splithoff began gaining momentum following the independent release of his breakout single, “Sing to You.” Driven by a hypnotic howl, breezy guitar, and an unbreakable bounce, the track generated over 100 million streams, occupied coveted real estate on noted Spotify playlists and reached the top 8 at AC Radio, paving the way for Splithoff to continue to releasing music to an a growing fanbase. Splithoff has toured globally as a headliner with appearances at renowned festivals such as Lollapalooza and Bonnaroo. The 43rd Annual Spring Sing is sponsored by The Rotary Club of Pleasantburg and Greenville County Schools. This event showcases the immense talent of over 500 elementary and middle school singers who are provided with an opportunity to perform in a professional setting. This evening is truly a celebration of the arts in our community and the impact of the arts on our young people.

The CODA Music Festival 2025 is a benefit for local

Rock Academy is a Year-Round Rock Band Performance Program that take our bands out of the classrooms and into Asheville’s music scene. Students learn to perform a wide variety of musical styles and songs of various genres including blues, classic rock, hard rock, punk, surf, americana and more. Our music students grow into skilled musicians and take their band “on the road” to play in front of live audiences at some of the top venues in the area.
