British talk-show host David Frost has become a lowbrow laughingstock. Richard M. Nixon has just resigned the United States presidency in total disgrace over Vietnam and the Watergate scandal. Determined to resurrect his career, Frost risks everything on a series of in-depth interviews in order to extract an apology from Nixon. The cagey Nixon, however, is equally bent on redeeming himself in his nation’s eyes. This is my second year selling at TCR Holiday Market, it will be an opportunity for my South Asheville fans to shop for their favorite photos for themselves or as gifts for their loved ones, including matted prints and gallery wrapped canvases.

The 12th annual TCR Holiday Market is the official start to Holiday shopping in Western North Carolina. It is held at TC Roberson High School and will feature artists and crafters with great Christmas Decorations and gift ideas. Come out and support small businesses and your local community.

On Saturday November 3rd at Carrier Park in Asheville, SOAR and the western North Carolina community will join together to help bring awareness to ADHD at SOAR’s Eagle Run 5k. All proceeds from the event will go to SOAR’s scholarship fund and directly to the youth and young adults that we serve. Each year SOAR provides meaningful outdoor experiences to students through scholarship assistance. This would not be possible without the support of our community, alumni, and families.

All Aboard THE POLAR EXPRESS! This memorable journey will take you on an incredible journey! Believe the magic this Holiday season!
Over 88,000 guests rode THE POLAR EXPRESS with the Great Smoky Mountains Railroad in 2017 and we hope to see you in 2018! The 1¼ hour round-trip excursion comes to life as the train departs the Bryson City depot for a journey through the quiet wilderness for a special visit at the North Pole. Set to the sounds of the motion picture soundtrack, guests on board will enjoy warm cocoa and a treat while listening and reading along with the magical story. Children’s faces show the magic of the season when the train arrives at the North Pole to find Santa Claus waiting. Santa will board THE POLAR EXPRESS, greeting each child and presenting them with a special gift as in the story, their own silver sleigh bell. Christmas carols will be sung as they return back to the Bryson City Depot.
THE POLAR EXPRESS begins November 9, 2018, and operates through December 31, 2018.
Sick reindeer can’t stop Santa from delivering presents, when magical possums come to the rescue in “Fly Possum Fly,” the new Christmas storybook written and illustrated by singer/songwriter Grant Maloy Smith. Based on a song that Grant recorded with teen country music sensation EmiSunshine, “Fly Possum Fly” is perfect for ages 3-10.
