Have an old deck that needs a new home? Have a pendulum or crystal ball that needs a new owner? Maybe an altar statue or offering bowl that needs new surroundings? Crystals or talismen or magical tools that feel like they could use a new buddy? Skulls or bones needing a new life? Bring them and trade them.
Come and swap! All donated items unclaimed will find good homes. Make sure to cleanse items before bringing them if you can.
Everyone is welcome! Children under 12 must be accompanied by an adult. Tea and light snacks will be offered.

We are lucky to have incredible Animal Educators to help us spread the word on the important roles they play in the Park. Join one of our Park naturalists for an informal program where your family will love meeting some of our wilder teammates! Kids of all ages are sure to take home some fun facts and special memories. Then, grab a Track Trail brochure at the Animal Discovery Den and round out the day with a hike along our Great Woodland Adventure trail with 12 education stations. Don’t forget your camera!

Did you know that mammals have the most diverse teeth in the animal kingdom and they can tell you about an animal’s diet, health, and habits?
Join us in the STEM Lab from 2-4 PM to examine some mammal skulls and learn how to tell if an animal is a predator or prey and what it eats. You’ll learn about the four main things to look at when examining skulls, all the different kinds of teeth, and so much more. You’ll even have the chance to try your skill at identification through some fun activities.

All proceeds benefit Feline Urgent Rescue (FUR) of Western NC, a non-profit organization dedicated to the rescue, rehabilitation and rehoming of cats in western NC.

Join us for ‘Sound Session’ by Tea Roman!
Rooted in an ancient approach to sound, you will be guided through a combination of gentle restorative yoga incorporating powerful Tibetan Bowl frequencies and meditation with transcending bamboo flute vibrations.
Tea Roman began his journey in sound, meditation and yoga at a young age, through the crystal sound healing practices of his grandmother – an advanced Kundalini Yogi. From that point, his path took him around the world, studying the roots of these ancient sciences. His training includes studies in Rotterdam, Netherlands with the world renowned bamboo flutist Hariprasad Chaurasia. Tea then under went rigorous Indian Classical Music training while living in Chinmaya Ashram – Kolvan, India.
Now, his Suizen (blowing meditations) recordings are respected around the world by some of the most advance Zen Meditation practitioners. Not limited to the practice of meditation and sound, Tea also has an advance knowledge of yogic practice, having completed his teacher training in the birthplace of yoga – Rishikesh, India. During a stay in the Himalayan area of Dharamshala, Tea was given some of the most powerful ‘9-Metal’ singing bowls available. These bowls are one of the key elements of his workshops. Coming full circle with his in depth, practical, scientific and metaphysical knowledge of sound, meditation and yoga. Tea has developed a holistic practice that provides one of the purest experiences of enlightenment and consciousness available in the Western World.
