Asheville Outlets (www.ShopAshevilleOutlets.com) is pleased to host the 19th Annual Autumn in the Mountains Car Show Saturday, October 13, 2018. The show will open at 9:00 a.m. with Best-of-Class awards will be presented at 3:30 p.m. Past shows have attracted over 120 cars and motorcycles. Admission is free and open to the public.

Autumn in the Mountains Car Show is an annual charitable event which is open to any and all British and European cars and motorcycles. For this year’s event, the designated charity is ‘Meals on Wheels’ of both Buncombe and Henderson Counties.

This year marks the 15th Anniversary of Asheville Humane Society’s Taste of Compassion Auction & Gala! This elegant affair will be held at the spacious A-B Tech Conference Center on Saturday, October 13 from 6-9 PM. For guests who want the red carpet treatment, VIP Ticket holders will have access to the VIP Pre-Gala Reception from 5:30-6:30 PM where they will enjoy specially prepared cocktails and hors d’oeuvres. Join fellow animal lovers for a full-filled night complete with local cuisine and libations, silent and live auctions, and dancing to the musical stylings of DJ P-LO! (Patrick Lopez is a 5-star rated DJ who uses his trumpet, piano and vocals to provide the ultimate musical package.) All proceeds will benefit local animals in need.

The Garcia Project will perform a full, classic Jerry Garcia Band show setlist!

The Garcia Project is the only nationally touring Jerry Garcia Band tribute that performs full, classic Jerry Band set lists from 1976-1995. We have been called by many, “the DSO of JGB”. With proper, era-specific equipment and arrangements, The Garcia Project brings the fans back in time to relive the classic Jerry Garcia Band concerts in their entirety.

Beginner’s workshop lesson at 7:30 P.M., then 8-11 P.M. Contra Dance with Country Waltzing at the break and the final dance. This is a partner dance but it’s not necessary to come with a partner. We have different live bands and callers.

Asheville Outlets will host a weekend of free family fun from Friday, October 26, through Sunday, October 28, 2018. Ingles Ultimate Air Dog Competition (UAD), always a crowd favorite, will be held all three days. A Health Fair for People & Pets, Cover Dog Competition and Junior League of Asheville Touch-A Truck round out the weekend activities.

Ingles Ultimate Air Dog Competition

Dogs will compete in a 90’ pool constructed in front of Field & Stream. Ultimate Air Dogs is one of the country’s premiere dock jumping organizations and features both novice competitors and seasoned jumpers.

Touch-A-Truck Family Festival – 11:00 a.m. to 4:00 pm.

The event will be held in the parking lot behind the food court from 11:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m. Kids and kids at heart will have the opportunity to see, touch, climb and learn about vehicles of all types, even a helicopter! Parental supervision required. Admission is $5 in advance and at the door. Children 3 and under are free.

Health Fair for People & Pets – 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 pm.

Asheville Outlets will team up with CarePartners Foundation and Critter Magazine to host a Health Fair for People & Pets with a variety of health-related booths and displays, demonstrations and entertainment. For pets and their families you’ll find educational advice, obedience tips, pet adoptions and much more!  A portion of the proceeds from the Health Fair for People & Pets will benefit CarePartners Foundation and local spay/neuter organizations and rescue transport programs.
