The Kennedys return to Isis Music Hall with their first new CD in three years. Safe Until Tomorrow’s uplifting melodies dovetail with smart and oftentimes hard-hitting lyrics that address the things we all talk about in the office and online, but with The Kennedys patented tuneful sheen. That calls for a strong dose of classic folk-rock punch, Maura’s angelic vocals and straight-from-the-heart lyrics.
Pete has also just released his long-awaited book, “Tone, Twang, and Taste: A Guitar Memoir” and will be reading short excerpts from it at this show.

An evening of original music with award winning songwriter and musician Ash Devine. Featuring music to be released on her upcoming album, set to be released in Fall 2019.
Ash Devine is an award winning songwriter, accomplished guitar and ukulele player, humanitarian performance artist and teacher based in Asheville, NC for over 15 years. Devine’s music is influenced by her upbringing in the Blue Ridge Mountains of VA, world music studies, immersion in traditional Appalachian music, and her international travels with M.D. and activist Patch Adams.
What sets Ash’s music apart from other Americana artists is that Ash’s performances include connective audience participation and touching stories related to her work as a social activist. Her music is dynamic, relatable, and steeped universal messages of hope, calls to action, and a longing for a better world. Devine’s guitar playing is complex and satisfying as accompaniment to her breathy rich vocals, combining styles of Appalachian country blues with innovative rhythmic strumming and world influenced fingerstyle picking. According to legendary songwriter and producer Tret Fure, Ash Devine’s music is, “a rich sound that is non pretentious, Ash Devine is the real deal.”

Presented by the High School Academy Students, Sweeney Todd has become a bloody, worldwide success since being awarded eight Tony Awards (including Best Musical), for its Broadway premiere and has now been adapted for high school performers in Sweeney Todd School Edition. Stephen Sondheim’s and Hugh Wheeler’s (A Little Night Music, Pacific Overtures) tasty, thrilling, theatrical treat has simultaneously shocked, awed and delighted audiences across the world.
An infamous tale, Sweeney Todd, an unjustly exiled barber, returns to nineteenth-century London, seeking vengeance against the lecherous judge who framed him and ravaged his young wife. The road to revenge leads Todd to Mrs. Lovett, a resourceful proprietress of a failing pie shop, above which he opens a new barber practice. Mrs. Lovett’s luck sharply shifts when Todd’s thirst for blood inspires the integration of an ingredient into her meat pies that has the people of London lining up… and the carnage has only just begun!
This special School Edition has been masterfully adapted, working directly with Mr. Sondheim to retain the dark wit and grand scope of the original work, with a few lyric and key changes to facilitate high school productions. At the show’s core is a challenging score of epic proportion with two tasty tour-de-force roles in Sweeney and his comic female accomplice, Mrs. Lovett. Sweeney Todd School Edition is sure to be the highlight of any high school’s season.

Music by Tom Snow; Lyrics by Dean Pitchford; Stage Adaptation by Dean Pitchford and Walter Bobbie
A musical version of the 1984 film! When teenager Ren McCormack moves from Chicago to a small town, he isn’t prepared for the stifling local laws, including a ban on dancing and rock music instituted by the local preacher. As he struggles to fit in, he encourages his classmates to defy the local pastor and call for a rock’n’roll prom. Fist pump!
“Footloose” combines songs from the hit 1984 soundtrack with dynamic new songs – and though it might seem like just a lot of fun, it also celebrates the wisdom of opening minds and listening to the voices of young people. Director Jerry Crouch, music director Lynda Ferrell Shuler, and choreographer Tina Pisano-Foor have put together an incredible cast of students and adults from our community to bring “Footloose” to life!

Set sail for laughter as Bertie Wooster revels in life aboard the Vanderley yacht. Bertie is the pampered guest of the lively Lady Stella (very fetching profile), accompanied, as always, by his peerless valet, Jeeves. If only Bertie’s pal Crumpet hadn’t assaulted a prince. In the blink of an eye, Bertie is masquerading as a romance novelist, Crumpet’s posing as his own long-lost twin, and a sinister foreign count is challenging Bertie to a duel. Will this madcap case of mistaken identities end in Bertie’s doom–or worse, his marriage? Have no fear; Jeeves will sort it all out.

Catapulted to fame by his iconic hits “Whole Lotta Shakin’ Goin’ On” and “Great Balls of Fire,” Jerry Lee Lewis is one of the first true rock & roll musicians.
Lewis is part of the Million Dollar Quartet, along with his friends Johnny Cash, Elvis Presley, and Carl Perkins, and there is not any part of music that their influences haven’t touched. Known as rock’s first great wildman, “The Killer” has been honored with a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame, a Lifetime Achievement Grammy® Award, and as a member of the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame’s very first class of inductees.
