Our local judges will be tasting 32 sauces from a ton of great folks from around AVL, in a bracket style faceoff for the best hot sauce in town! We will be streaming each match via Iamavl!
Sponsored by the good folks at Wicked Weed Brewing Co, Hi Wire Brewing Co and Bhramari Brewing Co. During each stream we will be talking about some of the great tasty beers these breweries have for delivery & curbside pick up to get everyone thru COVID -19

Celebrate Mom on her special day at The Inn’s annual brunch prepared with the freshest seasonal ingredients. Enjoy fine food, live music, exceptional service, and the opportunity to capture fond memories at our photo booth, beautifully embellished with a variety of colorful blooms.

Grassroots Aid Partnership (GAP) plans to serve free, plant-based food every Friday through Sunday from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. at 1022 Haywood Road.
Every Sunday Except First of Month.
Every Monday, Wednesday and Friday, from 11am-2pm, we are offering meal pick-ups to those in need in our community. 200 meals will be provided on a first come, first serve basis.
On Tuesday, May 12, 2020 from 11AM to 3PM, WCCA will host a drive-by food distribution event
for children and families currently enrolled in the agency’s Head Start and Early Head Start
education programs. Families can visit the following locations to receive food bags:
King Creek Children’s Center (20 Fickley Dr., Hendersonville, NC)
Etowah Children’s Center (233 Brickyard Rd., Etowah, NC)
Columbus Children’s Center (2060 Lynn Rd., Columbus, NC)
Hillview Head Start (181 Hillview Ext., Brevard, NC)
Pisgah Forest Children’s Center (133 Osborne Rd., Brevard, NC)
Rosman Children’s Center (163 Main St., Rosman, NC)
Food bags will also be available for pick-up at seven childcare partner sites throughout
Henderson, Transylvania, Polk, and Rutherford counties.
Why is this event so important?
WCCA Head Start and Early Head Start programs serve low-income families who live below the
poverty line, those who care for foster children, and/or families of children with a disability. These
families have been especially hard hit during the ongoing COVID Pandemic. Unemployment is
high and many social service programs are temporarily closed. Community-wide food handouts
often result in families spending hours waiting in long lines only to receive a few items.
The WCCA Head Start Food Distribution Event on May 12th is targeted toward serving the over
600 children and families currently enrolled in WCCA’s Head Start and Early Head Start programs
and partner programs throughout our four-county region. We regularly work with these families
and can attest to the incredible need they are facing.
Funding for the food distribution event has been provided through Head Start and some private
donations. Contributions to support future food distribution events and other services would be
greatly appreciated and can be made online through the agency’s website: www.wcca.org.

WCCA delivers high-quality early childhood education programs to children, ages 0 to 4 years in
order to promote school readiness and long-term academic success. WCCA annually serves over
800 children and families through its Head Start, Early Head Start and NC Pre-K programs and
home-based services. To coordinate coverage of the Head Start Food Distribution event, please

Western Carolina Community Action is a 501(C)(3) nonprofit organization based in Hendersonville,
NC that assists low income and underserved people of western North Carolina to achieve their
potential through advocacy and quality services such as: Head Start and Early Head Start; housing

Join Bold Rock Hard Cider in celebrating a #BOLDSUMMER with our brand new seasonal cider – PINEAPPLE CIDER! Be one of the first to experience this tasty new seasonal during a 3-day Pick-Up Party hosted at both our Nellysford, VA and Mills River, NC Cidery locations, May 14-16!
Beginning Monday, May 11 at 10 AM, pre-orders for Pineapple 6-packs and 24-pack cases may be placed online for pick-up at either our Nellysford, VA or Mills River, NC Cidery locations. You may schedule your preferred pick-up time for a seamless curbside experience – Thursday, May 14 – Saturday, May 16, 11 AM – 5 PM.
You are **strongly encouraged** to place a pre-order at least 24 hours prior to your preferred pick-up time to ensure the best and fastest possible pick-up experience. However, we will also accommodate day-of onsite orders. Additional cider selections may be added to orders. Unfortunately, all guests must depart the property following pick-up of their order to prevent any guest assembly that exceeds our capacity to provide a safe environment.

Make sure you properly select your pick-up location – either our Nellysford, VA Cidery or Mills River, NC Cidery!
Additional Important Notes:
**Pineapple Cider will not be an option for online ordering prior to May 11 so don’t be alarmed if you do not immediately see an order option listed on our portal prior to May 11.
**The earliest opportunity to pick-up auto populates when ordering, you can adjust when you wish to pick-up at the ‘Store Pickup’ stage during check out by selecting ‘Schedule For Later’ and adjusting date/time.
**Pineapple Cider and other cider styles will only be available via 6-pack and 24-pack cases during May 14-16 and we **will not** be offering pints, crowlers or growler fills during the launch weekend. Be on the lookout for crowlers shortly and pints/growler fills later this summer.
**Neither our Nellysford or Mills River properties will be open for on-site enjoyment. Following pick-up, you must depart our property. However, please tag #BOLDSUMMER at home to show how you are enjoying Pineapple Cider and to let us know what you think of this tasty new seasonal!
