The Black Mountain Center for the Arts is proud to host the Asheville based improv comedy troupe, Reasonably Priced Babies. RPB is a formidable improv comedy group consisting of Tom Chalmers, Mondy Carter, Karen Stobbe, Kim Richardson and Josh Batenhorst.
This is how it works: RPBs will ask the audience for suggestions and then they make that come to technicolor life. Get ready to be a part of the experience because this show will push the envelope of ridiculous fun.
Doors open at 6:30pm. Masks are encouraged but not required.

He is now based out of West North Carolina and tours the Southeast. The Royal Comedy tour, featuring Sommore, Bruce Bruce, Lavell Crawford and Henry Welch, is coming to Bon Secours Wellness Arena at 8 p.m. on Nov. 5. Showcasing a star-studded lineup of world-class comedians, the Royal Comedy 17-city tour officially kicks off in Los Angeles on Sept. 30 before making its way to Greenville.
The Royal Comedy tour is produced by North American Entertainment Group Inc., one of the leading independent promoters of entertainment tours and live events in the United States.

Matt White went from distracting his classmates to engaging audiences nationally. Winner of “NC Funniest” 2020, “Carolina’s Funniest Comic” 2013, and “Port City’s Top Comic” 2012 are just a few achievements Matt has earned so far. Matt’s comedy journey began at ECU. Dreams of becoming a comedic actor led him to join an Improv Troupe. Later he founded a comedy organization, which branched off campus and became the hub of the local stand up comedy scene. Matt has performed in comedy festivals across the US. Paula Poundstone is known for her smart, observational humor and a spontaneous wit that has become the stuff of legend. Time magazine, in the March 2020 “Best of” issue, listed Paula’s HBO special, Cats, Cops and Stuff as one of The 5 Funniest Stand-Up Specials Ever. Paula can be heard weekly as the host of the comedy podcast, Nobody Listens to Paula Poundstone and as a regular panelist on NPR’s comedy news quiz, Wait Wait…Don’t Tell Me!
Also an author, Poundstone’s second book, The Totally Unscientific Study Of The Search For Human Happiness (Algonquin 2017) was one of eight semi-finalists for The Thurber Prize for American Humor, the highest recognition of the art of humor writing in the United States. The audiobook was one of five finalists for the Audio Book of the Year AUDIE award.
Paula was the first female comic, in its then 73rd year, to perform at the White House Correspondents dinner. She was the first female standup, in its then 5th year, to win the ACE award for Best Comedy Special on Cable television. She is included in innumerable lists, documentaries and literary compendiums noting influential standup comedians of our time.

Adam Sandler will be bringing his unique brand of comedy and song back to North America this fall, starting October 21 in Allentown, Pennsylvania. Sandler will stop at Bon Secours Wellness Arena on November 11. Additional cities on the 15-date fall outing include Manchester, Boston, Belmont Park, Tampa, and more.

Joe is best known for his current Adult Swim series, ‘Joe Pera Talks With You’, which The LA Times refers to as ‘TV’s quietest, most artful comedy’. He has performed his subdued standup on Conan, Late Night with Seth Meyers, and Comedy Central. After his animated special ‘Joe Pera Talks You To Sleep’ (which many have found to work), he followed up with other projects for Adult Swim including ‘Joe Pera Helps You Find the Perfect Christmas Tree’ and ‘Relaxing Old Footage with Joe Pera’. Through his production company, Chestnut Walnut, Joe has also directed a number of film and tv projects including Conner O’Malley’s ‘Truthhunters’ pilot for Comedy Central. In July 2020, the comedian teamed up with All Things Comedy to release his weekly podcast, Nateland. The world is a crazy place and there’s plenty of podcasts out there tackling the tough issues. However, Nateland will tackle the meaningless issues that we face day to day to give listeners a much-needed mental break from fighting the good fight. New episodes release Wednesdays, with video available on Nate’s YouTube channel and audio available everywhere you get podcasts.

Will Foskey is a 27 year old stand-up comedian based in Atlanta, GA. After being named one of Just For Laughs’ “New Faces of Comedy” he recorded his debut album/special “All Things Sacred” which was released this summer. He can currently be found touring the country in preparation of his next project. While back in Atlanta, he can be found regularly performing at The Laughing Skull Lounge or playing bass for “Square Pizza” a band comprised of fellow comedians. After a good set in Chattanooga, an Angry Karen took to facebook and described his comedy as “Depressing,” “Judgmental,” and “Not Funny!” Will is very proud of this and to this day, has the review as his phone background.

An only child with OCD, Paul Hooper channels his dysfunction into a cathartic harangue. That’s a real flowery and obnoxious way of saying he complains in a funny way. Anyway, this native of Charlotte, North Carolina, now residing in New York City, has been featured on Gotham Comedy Live on AXS TV, Red Eye with Tom Shillue, at the HBO Comedy Festival in Vegas, Bridgetown Comedy Festival in Portland, Oregon, the Boston Comedy Festival, Michael Moore and Jeff Garlin’s Traverse City Comedy Arts Festival, the Vancouver Comedy Fest and was a finalist in the 30th Annual Seattle International Comedy Competition. A seasoned headliner, Paul has performed in forty two states and ten countries, including two armed forces tours. HIs debut solo album, “Tense and Uncomfortable” is available on Stand Up! Records, and iTunes.

Reena Calm is a pun-slinger who tours all over the country. She started in Chicago and left on a mission to make people laugh in all 50 States. Nothing can stop her just kidding there was a pandemic. She’s very happy to be back to work as a showbiz hobo and currently the only woman in America who is a full-time road-comic.
Sharing stories from her travels, Reena’s quick-witted material earns her fans in every corner of the country. Autobiographical, silly and charmingly inappropriate, she’s a jokesmith with a love for wordplay. Her innate ability to connect with audiences of all ages and backgrounds, makes you feel like you’re listening to a friend share their best clips from life’s blooper reel.

Andy Sandford is a comedian who got funny in Atlanta, then moved to New York City, where he established himself as one of NY’s top tier comics. In 2021, Andy moved back to Atlanta to record his latest album with 800lbs Gorilla Records. It’s called “Basket Case” and came out November 15th. Andy has performed his jokes on Conan and The Late Late Show with James Corden. Andy’s debut album, Me the Whole Time; was one of Splitsider’s “9 Best Standup Albums of The Year.“ His hour special, “Shameful Information,” is currently featured on Amazon Prime. Sandford even played an animated version of himself on Adult Swim’s Aqua Teen Hunger Force. The Village Voice called him, “one of New York’s comedic gems;” a nice gesture, but not enough to keep him in New York. Andy is out of Atlanta now (sorry NY).
Gabbie Watts is a stand-up comedian based in Atlanta. She’s a regular at the Laughing Skull Lounge and has been a featured performer at Resurgens Fest, Lookout Comedy Festival, Red Clay Comedy Festival, and Fountain City Comedy Festival. She also hosts the iHeart podcast “Cadaver Gals.”
Gilbert Lawand is an Atlanta based comedian who tours nationally and has a hilariously likable, deconstructive approach to stand up. He produces the annual Red Clay Comedy Festival which takes place in Atlanta every September. Gilbert has performed in several festivals including Bridgetown, High Plains, and the Laughing Skull Festival where he was a finalist. He’s a frequent opener for Rory Scovel
