Blue Ghost Brewing is donating 10 percent of sales from 4:00-9:00 PM on June 14th to Homeward Bound to support our mission of preventing and ending homelessness through permanent housing and support.
Some staff will be there to collect donations of household goods for our Welcome Home Donation Center.

Please join us for MoonieFest! There will be Live Music & a Karaoke Contest by Thunderstruck Entertainment. Live music includes Misdemeanor, Jeremy Whiteside and Joe Roads. This is a free event that also includes a raffle and cornhole. There will be a food truck, ice cream and drinks available on the premises at cost. MoonieFest is a fundraising event to benefit Stage 4 No More: Search for a Cure. Help Jennifer in her fight to find healing from stage 4 cancer. Join us for weekly workdays in the Sand Hill native tree nursery. Tasks vary and often include repotting, weeding, mulching, and other special projects to improve infrastructure and function.

Literacy Together (formerly Literacy Council of Buncombe County) hosts two monthly orientation meetings. Everyone is welcome to join us, from community members willing to learn more about Literacy Together’s work to prospective volunteer tutors.
We have a determined group of students waiting for volunteer tutors so they can move forward on their goals for a better future. Tutor training is via distance learning, and all tutoring sessions are online. We have programs teaching English to immigrants, adult literacy for folks working on a GED, and youth literacy for kids struggling to learn to read.
