From historic mansions to candy stores, rooftops to rock climbing gyms, we transform just about any environment into a unique setting for live stand-up comedy. This show will be happening at an undisclosed Indoor location in Downtown, Asheville.
Our shows are run by a local team of comedy lovers, and comedians who are passionate about creating a fun and relaxed environment for experiencing live comedy. There are no two-drink minimums and each show is completely unique. We thrive on good vibes and welcome you to be a part of the DTC community.
The seed was planted for The Letter Show when George and Becca met the old fashioned way (a Craigslist ad) in 2011. They discovered not only a shared love of writing and playing Americana music, but a compatibility in their singing voices and playing styles that was undeniable.
After gigging for several years, and contributing to various projects, The Letter Show was formally minted in 2013 with guitarist and songwriter Daniel Crawford. The trio headed to Nashville to record an EP with Grammy-winning producer Joey Crawford. Those sessions resulted in the Brokenhearted Stumblers EP, self-released in the summer of 2013. That August, the band traveled to Floyd, VA to perform at Floydfest.
After Daniel moved to Nashville in 2015, Becca and George continued to collaborate on various recording projects and perform live together and independently. In 2021, they rekindled The Letter Show name, and began gigging steadily in the Charleston area. The band can be found at prominent Charleston venues such as Holy City Brewing. The Letter Show is booking actively for 2023, and currently recording its sophomore EP.

White Squirrel 2023 will kick off downtown Friday evening and run through Sunday afternoon in the heart of downtown.
In addition to the live music, the weekend event features a smattering of delicious local food vendors and a beer garden featuring all of Brevard’s local craft breweries and wine. Craft, artisan and nonprofit vendors add to the weekend’s street offerings.

Grindfest is BACK! It is a free, 3-day event that celebrates the success of Black entrepreneurs + business owners in Asheville. A block-party style event will take place on 8 Rivers Arts Place! This includes a weekend full of music, games, live performance, food, local vendors + learning, employment and partnership opportunities. The goal of the festival is to highlight the progress made by people of color while also connecting folks in the community. A long weekend of fun and excitement.

Morgan is an Asheville based comic capturing the playful and often painful parallels between adolescence and “almost-adulthood.” Vibrant yet vulnerable; her high-energy storytelling is influenced by her background as an improviser. She co-hosts a weekly comedy open mic called “The Hot Seat,” and writes a monthly humor column, “Best Medicine with Morgan Bost,” for the Mountain Xpress. She’s opened for Rob Delaney, Beth Stelling, and has appeared in several breweries and discount grocery stores across Western North Carolina.

After five years of hosting our Gatherings at Camp Hope, which we dressed up and transformed into Camp LovEvolution for three powerful days and nights every year, the dream of finding and creating our own sanctuary for the LovEvolution year round has been realized.
So time to reunite and celebrate this evolution of the LovEvolution in pioneering and anchoring the new paradigm. Time to dance, sing, pray and celebrate on the beautiful 200 plus acres of wilderness that is cradled in a mountain valley bounded by rivers two miles of rivers, just north of Asheville.
During the gathering we’ll also be holding the first Sunday service for the recently created LovEvolution Fellowship Church in its new LovEvolution Lodge – Event Center and Chapel. These Sunday fellowship services will then continue on the first Sunday of every month.
We are powerful co-creators of the world we experience. To cultivate the world of our dreams we will share dozens of heart and mind opening workshops and events – including Ecstatic Dance, Song and Fire Circle, Drumming, Musical Performances, Ceremony, Celebrations, Compassionate Communication, Sacred Relationship, Qi Gong, Sound Healing, Yoga, Shamanic Breath Work and more.
There will also be opportunities to immerse yourself in nature by hiking the land, soaking in the hot tubs, cleansing in the sauna and swimming in the natural swimming pond and rivers.

Rock Crawlers is an outdoor educational program offered through the Pisgah Visitor Center for ages 4-7.
Rock Crawlers is an outdoor educational program offered through the Pisgah Visitor Center for ages 4-7. Programs are 1.5 hours long and begin with the reading of a forest-themed story and include fun activities, games, and a craft. Beginning on May 2nd through August 29 from 10:30 till 12:00. These programs will be offered on the first Tuesday and last Tuesday of each month. Perfect for families looking to expand their children’s knowledge of the forest and all the treasures that are hidden within.

Cats at Play is Asheville’s very first cat café, which includes a one-of-a-kind rescue lounge as a feline foster home where visitors can enjoy meeting adorable {and adoptable} cats from Brother Wolf Animal Rescue and Heart of the Foothills Animal Rescue.
Whilst petting the cutest cats, visitors can also sip local drinks and try delicious snacks, including pastries, cookies and gelato. Cats at Play also includes a boutique with cat-themed apparel, gifts décor and art from local artisans.
Lisa Fox, Co-Owner of Cats at Play, states that “we chose this business model so that we can positively impact the homeless cat population in our community and beyond as well as give back to the animal rescue organizations who work so hard for animals in need. Admission fees to visit our rescue lounge will help us care for our foster kitties and 100% of adoption fees will go directly to our rescue partners.”

Queen Bee and the Honeylovers is a dance band that performs classic swing, blues and Latin music. They have been voted best in Jazz 2020/21/22 in the Mountain Xpress “Best Of” poll. Their debut album, ‘Asheville’, celebrated their hometown’s history and won them #41 on WNCW’s listener-voted poll of Best Albums of 2019 as well as features on The State of Things with Frank Stasio and PBS Woodsongs.
