How ’bout them Apples?
We post each Thursday morning any ripening updates in the orchard. Remember we are an heirloom apple orchard. Our mission is to save the good stuff…including apple varieties. In addition to trees that fruit during the normal late September/October season in greater quantity, also we plant small batch numbers of heirloom apple trees. Some ripen earlier (an unexpected gift); all have their uses from apple sauce, to butters, to juice and ciders, and just fresh eating off the trees. They won’t all be available all the time. But, when they are, we’ll let you know. Please come and see for yourself.

Proceeds benefit the Pancreatic Cancer Action Network and festival organizers, The Chamber of Hickory Nut Gorge.

We are happy to be able to present live dance in 2020, two nights in a row! Danse Macabre is a one act Halloween-themed story ballet featuring the artists of the Asheville Ballet.
Audience capacity is capped at 100.
Reserved seating only. Each section purchase will safely fit TWO people per social distancing guidelines. If your party is larger than two please purchase an adjacent section and combine.
Come and join our artists on Friday and Saturday, October 30th and 31st, at 7:00pm, for an hour long presentation of classical and modern dance and theatre featuring the music of, among others, Camille Saint-Saëns, Ben E. King, Aretha Franklin, and The Misfits!
No refund on tickets. Rain date will be Sunday November 1st at 7pm.

No-Frills Halloween Dance Party!
We all know: this year is different. So, this is the deal and it’s not fancy:
We have no DJ; it’s a play list with some of our favorite dance music.
You have to dance outside in our parking lot. And, wear a mask. And, dance six feet apart from people you don’t know. And, don’t take candy from strangers. Just joking. But, it’s a good rule in general.
We’ll probably have a costume contest but guess what the prize is. Nothing. Simply the honor of winning. Which is something.
If you’re out, stop by. We’d be honored to be a part of your celebration because it’s our most favoritest time of year.

Burlesque Brunch is a monthly burlesque and belly dance show with a classic speakeasy feel. Join us every month and relax and enjoy our dancing dames and dandies in an up close and intimate setting. It’s a Sunday afternoon to delight the senses!
ECD AnneMarie Walter, Leader. Music: Cathy Arps, fiddle; Suzanne Hosch, flute; Janet Muse, piano.
3:30pm-4:00pm, Pre-Dance Workshop – Regular dancers assisting Beginners with basic ECD dance figures.
4:00pm-6:30pm, Dance
All are welcome; no partner necessary; wear comfortable clothes and shoes; bring a snack from time to time to share at the break; fragrance-free dance.
Still: Life is a beautiful and poignant journey of dance and spoken word vignettes set in five out-of-the-ordinary performance locations at the Wortham Center. Audiences travel with a guide in small, physically distanced groups. Masks are required and capacity is limited.
