To start, we will be holding fast to safety precautions listed below. As the CDC and NC governmental regulations soften, we will follow suit. Please know that we are making every effort to keep both our vendors and our community safe and well.

*No-contact payment: Tap’n’Pay , Venmo, Paypal payments only. No cash payments or card swipes will be accepted.
*Handwashing station upon entering Market
*Limited shopper numbers (car queue will be used, if necessary)
*1 customer at vendor table at a time
*Only touch what you are purchasing
*6ft Social Distancing required
*Masks highly encouraged. All vendors and Market staff will wear masks.
*No Music or Kids tent (yet)
*No craft/artisan vendors until non-essential businesses are allowed to open. We are hopeful this will be by June, or earlier.

Every Thursday starting May 4, we’ll have free dance class for kids to tune into!

Our instructor Rebecca will be plugging into Zoom to instruct kids of all ages and all experience levels from 4-5 PM. To get into the class, please create a free Zoom account. Follow this meeting information to get logged into class.

Bookends Used Book Store at Pack Library – Asheville, NC

Mountain Gateway Museum & Heritage Center celebrated the opening of its newest traveling exhibit, “Steeped in Time: Tea and Traditions” on Saturday, January 18, 2020. The exhibit will run through the July 4th weekend at MGM, located at 24 Water Street in Old Fort. Admission is free.

Over a dozen retailers and eateries will begin reopening at Asheville Outlets on Saturday, May 9, 2020 including Pandora Jewelry, SKECHERS, Sportsman’s Warehouse, VF Outlet, as well as eateries Acropolis Pizza Café and China Max, among others. Many additional store opening announcements will be made in the coming days.

Asheville Outlets hours will be Monday through Saturday 11:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. and Sunday noon to 6:00 p.m. Individual store and eatery hours and openings will vary. Updates will be regularly posted.

Asheville Outlets continues with deep cleaning and enhanced cleaning procedures, especially on frequent touchpoints throughout the center. Shoppers will find information on proper handwashing techniques, information from the CDC on preventive actions, as well as hand sanitizer stations. Social distancing protocols will be followed throughout the center. Individual stores and restaurants will follow guidelines including protocols for employee hygiene, social distancing, enhanced cleaning procedures and more. For the latest information and guidance on safety procedures from Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) visit CDC.gov/coronavirus.

Saturday, May 9, 2020 Openings:
Acropolis Pizza Cafe, China Max, Beef Jerky Outlet, Dreammaker Spas Outlet, Fragrance Outlet, Kirkland’s, Le Creuset, Lindt Chocolate Shop, Monogram Asheville, Pandora Jewelry, Rack Room Shoes, SKECHERS, Sportsman’s Warehouse, iSmashed NC, VF Outlet and Workshop Tools. Additional openings will continue to be announced.

We invite young LEAFers to join LEAF Resident Teaching Artist Adama Dembele for a virtual drumming and dance class for elementary age kids. Adama is a master djembefola (djembe player) from the Ivory Coast, West Africa, and has been a part of LEAF since 2005. He currently teaches year round after school classes with LEAF Schools & Streets, and he is excited to offer video classes in which students can take a journey to explore the sounds, rhythms and movements of West African culture right from their own home!
