These events will be limited in size but will retain all the LEAF Love. LEAF Members will have priority and at times exclusive access to these events. Please note that Spring LEAF Retreat will be members-only and tickets will be made available on January 4th, 2021. Members have kept LEAF Mission alive and at work in this wild year of 2020! Your membership empowered LEAF to maintain our support of LEAF International Culture Keepers in the 10 countries and local LEAF Schools & Streets Artists. The Harrah’s Cherokee Center – Asheville is proud to announce The Glass Animals’ “Dreamland” Tour in the Thomas Wolfe Auditorium on March 28, 2022. Tickets for the event will go on publicly via ONLINE ONLY on Thursday, May 6 at 10:00am via Ticketmaster.com. Adding to an already incredible year, Glass Animals have announced their North American “Dreamland Tour.” The run kicks off August 30th in Lewiston, NY and takes the band across North America well into 2022. The shows add to their already sold out UK tour dates, previously announced Red Rocks shows and confirmed festival performances at Bonnaroo, Life Is Beautiful, and Outside Lands. In addition, last week the band was selected as 2021 Billboard Music Awards finalists for Top Rock Song “Heat Waves” and Top Rock Album Dreamland. This is the first time the band has been recognized by the BBMAs. The Billboard Music Awards LIVE will take place Sunday, May 23rd at 3pm EST/5pm PT on NBC.
Earlier this month, Glass Animals performed “Heat Waves” on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon, where the band took over Margate’s Dreamland Theme Park and brought it back to life with an electrifying performance—watch HERE. In addition, they performed on The Ellen Degeneres Show where they took over a skate rink and used fan submitted footage to fill the television screens behind their performance—watch HERE.
The program will feature our 2020 ATHENA Award recipient, Mayor Barbara Volk for a Town Hall style discussion on her experience with leadership and mentorship.
There will be a virtual attendance option for this event.
Established leaders are encouraged to invite an emerging leader to attend this event. Conversations will happen, lives will be touched, leaders will be inspired, and friendships will be formed.

A native of Durham, NC, Jeremy Loeb embraced his lifelong love of piano when he launched his second career as a musician. Now living in Asheville, Loeb specializes in French and Chinese piano music.

On second Thursdays, local musicians enliven our spaces with music to complement your visit. As you stroll the galleries, a variety of tunes adds new dimensions to your viewing experience.
Dan’s musical journey started with songwriting, often for household names like The Temptations, Dionne Warwick, Keb Mo, and Jackson Browne. A skilled lyricist, the California native is the wordsmith behind Pat Benatar’s Grammy-nominated song “We Belong.”
For roughly 20 years, Dan and his songwriting partner Eric Lowen also performed together as an acoustic duo Lowen & Navarro. Following Eric’s retirement in 2009, Dan embarked on a solo career and has been touring nationally almost constantly since then. As a singer, he has released two solo albums and recorded alongside Neil Young, Andrea Bocelli, Luis Miguel, and more!

The Western Arts Agencies of North Carolina (WNC Arts) was established in 1980s as a peer support group for arts councils and agencies in WNC. This group is now working to expand their advocacy support for the arts in WNC.
The Sons of Ralph are the sons of Bluegrass pioneer Ralph Lewis. In the heart of WNC, these masters of Bluegrass are “The Sons of Ralph”. Martin and Don Lewis, Cousin Steve Moseley, and the “other brother” Ozzie Orengo, Jr. have been playing and singing the unique style of bluegrass music since Ralph’s upbringing in Madison County.
Hailing from opposite ends of the Appalachian mountains, Zoe & Cloyd is renowned fiddler and vocalist Natalya Zoe Weinstein and award-winning bluegrass songwriter, multi-instrumentalist, and vocalist John Cloyd Miller. With soaring harmonies and heartfelt songs, the pair seamlessly combine original bluegrass, klezmer, old-time and folk with sincerity and zeal. Zoe & Cloyd will be joined by master musicians, Kevin Kehrberg on bass and Bennett Sullivan on banjo.
Come enjoy an evening of live music, food and drinks at the Isis Music Hall. Reservations are highly recommended.
