Strategies To Find New Employees in a Tight Labor Market
Sep 10 @ 11:00 am – 1:00 pm
In-Person/Online Hybrid Room TBD

Small Business Center at Blue Ridge Community College offers FREE seminars/workshops to support Small Business

The COVID-19 pandemic has led to record-high job losses across the nation and in North Carolina. However, throughout much of the pandemic, employers have reported difficulty finding the workers they need to fill open positions. This combination of low supply and high demand has led to a shortage of jobseekers throughout much of the pandemic, a situation that economists call a “tight labor market”.

If your business has fewer jobseekers to choose from and, as a result, find it difficult to fill open positions this seminar is for you. There is a saying if you do the same thing you get the same results

Through this seminar we will help you look at your current employee recruitment process strengths and weakness. This will help you start thinking outside of the box. Next you will be introduced to marketing strategies to assist you with finding those new part-time or full time employees to operate and grow your business in a pandemic.

One example is how to promote your business employee recruitment, at no cost, through the Small Business is Big Business Job Fair held at Blue Ridge Community College on Wednesday September 29th from 2-7pm.

Gary Heisey is the marketing and branding expert with his company Branddoor.com and serves as the Executive Director for the BRCC Mission Acceleration: Business Accelerator program. Gary personally taught over 600 business seminars and assisting over 1,000 start- up, growth and scale-up companies with management advice, branding, marketing, social media, access to capital and business planning.

Speaker(s): Gary Heisey, Marketing and Branding Expert with Brand Door

Co-Sponsor(s): Henderson County Chamber of Commerce, Brevard/Transylvania Chamber of Commerce
