Live Music: Albi Podriki
Jun 27 @ 2:00 pm – 5:00 pm
Burntshirt Vineyards

Albi arrived to Asheville, NC from Miami Beach, FL in 2014. The move was prompted by his decision to leave a career in commercial real estate and peruse his true passion for music. Growing up with a French father and Mexican mother has given him a rich cultural perspective which has influenced his musical style and sensibilities.

Since arriving in Asheville he has devoted himself full-time to developing his musicianship and has been studying with local guitar master, Hank Bones. Albi formed the band, Albi & The Lifters, in 2014 and has successfully lead the group since. He also performs locally as a solo guitar player.

Singing in French, Spanish, Portuguese and English along with his classic jazz guitar playing is what identifies and distinguishes Albi in the rich and bubbling music scene of Asheville.

His set list will pull from 60s folk, Gordon Lightfoot, James Taylor, The Beatles, The Eagles, Marty Robbins, to local favorites such as Michael Reno Harrell.

Music: Carrie Morrison
Jun 28 @ 2:00 pm – 5:00 pm
Chimney Rock Tasting Room and Bistro

Born and raised in Louisville, Ky., Carrie has been playing piano since age 7. She moved to \’higher ground\’ in 2004, and has been a denizen of local clubs and venues in and around western N.C. for a decade. Music has always been part of her life, from improvisational and classical piano study, to choirs and musicals. Morrison is known for melodically strong songs with personal, pithy lyrics. She has recorded and performed with many local artists: the late Tom Rogers, Steve Whiteside, Ellen Trnka, Andrew Thelston, Garry Segal, Tom Fisch, and the late Terry Wetton, to name a few. Her EP ‘Carolina Blonde,’ produced by Wetton (of Hogrock Mountain Music) in 2013, is now available on iTunes, Amazon, and CDBaby. Morrison is also on Pandora Radio since 2015. Her new CD, ‘Miles and Miles,’ is due for release in late summer 2017, and is being produced by Chris Rosser (Hollow Reed Arts Studio) of award-winning ensemble Free Planet Radio. Sharing her music is Carrie’s passion, and she is grateful to be able to do so.  “I write songs because music is our refuge, the place where our souls are never alone.”
