Hasan Minhaj is the host and creator of the weekly comedy show “Patriot Act with Hasan Minhaj” that premiered on Netflix in October 2018. Through his unique comedic voice, the series explored the modern cultural and political landscape with depth and sincerity. The show received a 2019 Peabody Award, a 2019 Primetime Emmy Award for “Outstanding Motion Design,” and was recognized for a 2020 Television Academy Honor.
In 2017, Hasan Minhaj earned rave reviews and national attention for his performance hosting the White House Correspondents’ Dinner and for his one-hour Netflix comedy special “Hasan Minhaj: Homecoming King,” which earned a 2018 Peabody Award. A first-generation American, Minhaj joined The Daily Show with Jon Stewart as a correspondent in November 2014, where he was Jon’s last hire. He continued in that role after Trevor Noah took over as host the following year and remained on the show through August 2018.

Callie and Omar are a successful, middle-aged couple that have been married for years. Only, they haven’t been merry in years. For the record, they used to be quite happy but somewhere along the line they stopped listening to their better voices. Therapy and counseling proved ineffective.
Desperate, they decide they have no choice but to open up their marriage to someone who may be just their type. But of course, they aren’t married to the idea.
Best known for her iconic role as Shirley Feeney in the hit television series Laverne & Shirley, Cindy Williams is a versatile actress and comedienne who overcame a challenging childhood to pursue her love of acting and found stardom. Cindy shares her memories and hilarious backstage tales in Me, Myself & Shirley covering a lifetime in entertainment. Her storied career includes working with Oscar-winning directors Francis Ford Coppola, George Lucas, George Cukor, Roger Corman, and Jack Nicholson,in several films including two nominated for the Best Picture Oscar: American Graffiti and The Conversation. Her friends and co-stars include Penny Marshall, Ron Howard, Harrison Ford, Henry Winkler, Richard Dreyfuss, Gene Hackman, Dame Maggie Smith, and Robert Duvall. Holistic Crop Management aka CNG’s Bootcamp South, is a six-part webinar series led by local farmers and agricultural resource specialists. Growers will gain the tools to manage soil health, weeds, pests and diseases for whole-farm success.

Comedy titan and Emmy® Award-winning actor, Katt Williams, announces his World War III Tour is coming to Greenville. Performing at Bon Secours Wellness Arena on Feb. 25 at 8 p.m., Williams brings his unparalleled talents to the stage with new material that blends sidesplitting comedy with thought-provoking social commentary.
With a career spanning over 20 years, Williams has earned a worldwide reputation as one of today’s top entertainers, having developed a career seeded with thousands of sold-out arenas, an expansive list of starring roles on the small screen and memorable performances in major box office hits. His latest project, the comedy horror film “The House Next Door: Meet the Blacks 2,” follow-up to the 2016 indie hit “Meet the Blacks,” premiered June 11 and stars Williams along with Mike Epps, Snoop Dogg and Danny Trejo. The film earned numerous accolades on opening weekend including: #1 Comedy in North America, #1 highest-grossing new independent film release, and biggest opening for a feature film in less than 1,000 locations since March 2020.
Since performing his first stand-up show as a teenager, Williams has been taking the comedy world by storm. He quickly developed a unique style of standup that highlights articulate and sharp dialogue, rooted in conversations reflecting the American political landscape. By 1999, he had cultivated a loyal fan base and was performing on some of the most notable comedy stages in the nation. After conquering the stage, Williams shifted his focus into film and television. Carl Sonnefeld is a standup comedian. He is too tall for most airplanes and buses, but has found that he fits on trains pretty good. This year he hiked the Appalachian Trail to get away from Indiana, but unfortunately it was still there when he got back. He has performed at the Red Clay Comedy Festival, the Memphis Comedy Festival, and the Bird City Comedy Festival. He’s opened for Roy Wood Jr., Jackie Kashian, Shane Torres, and Anthony Devito.

Hone your skills in delivery, timing, and physicality as you pair up and perform a comedic scene, coached and directed by Scott. Laugh, learn and level up your comedy skills in this low-pressure, highly-humorous class.

Television personality, author, and Food Network star Alton Brown is hitting the road with his latest culinary variety show – “Beyond the Eats.” This new form of entertainment combines comedy, music, unusual cooking demos, and potentially dangerous sciencey stuff to deliver an evening unlike any other.
Alton Brown has been on the Food Network for over 20 years and is best known as the creator, writer, and host of Good Eats, Good Eats: Reloaded, and Good Eats: The Return. He also hosted Cutthroat Kitchen and served as the culinary commentator on Iron Chef America. There are two James Beard awards with Brown’s name on them in a drawer in his office, and somewhere in the world, there’s a coveted Peabody awarded for Good Eats that was stolen out of his car back in 2013. In his spare time, he’s working on his ninth book on food and cooking.

This workshop explores the tension between lyrical and narrative elements in flash. We will revise our stories to achieve the “iceberg effect.” The instructor will also share flash fiction resources, publications, and contests where you can submit your work. NOTE: This session works best if participants bring one or two stories, though this is not required. Flash fiction is a dynamic genre, and though it is not new, flash has become popular in contemporary literary culture. With the rise of social media and short attention span readers, as well as the form’s unique ability to double as prose poetry, publishing opportunities for flash fiction abound. In this workshop series, we will focus on the intensity of the short prose form as “illuminated moment.” Through prompts and exercises, we will practice writing and revising a variety of flash stories. Participants will have the opportunity to share their own flash stories for feedback, as well as read and discuss selected works as models. The classes may be taken individually or as a series. Beth Keefauver earned her Ph.D. in English and Creative Writing at the University of Tennessee, where she specialized in contemporary fiction, environmental literature, women’s studies, and served as a fiction editor for Grist. Her work has appeared in numerous national publications. Beth currently teaches creative and professional writing, environmental literature, women’s and gender studies at the University of South Carolina.
