You are invited to the opening reception on Friday, March 1 from 6-8 pm for The Soil’s Gaze—a solo exhibition of watercolor paintings by Chris Jehly.
The artist presents plein-air paintings of twisting tree limbs, swirling clouds, and fuzzy pockets of vegetation. Hiking to secluded locations to feel the pulse and the thrum of the natural world, Jehly lets his surroundings guide his process, bringing an element of spontaneity and chance into his landscapes. Jehly invites you into his sacred escapades—often in the Blue Ridge Mountains—with detailed foliage and patterned negative space that form kaleidoscopic worlds. Join us for a reception with the artist on March 1, from 6-8 pm.
Every Sunday Modelface Comedy brings you the best comedians from all over the country! This weekend we have The Great Easter Joke Hunt!!!
The hunt starts at 6pm and the show at 6:30 so get there early.
Easter eggs with jokes will be hidden all over the brewery. See how many you can find!

Every Friday Modelface Comedy brings you the best comedians from all over the country! This week we have Kylie Vincent from NYC!!!
Kylie Vincent is a 23 year old stand-up and solo show artist based on the road, touring all over the US as well as Scotland for Edinburgh Fringe Festival. Vincent is from California, but knows her homebase to be New York City and can be found performing in all the boroughs, regularly at clubs and colleges. Most recently, she filmed a set as part of Comedy Central’s Featuring series. For the last year, she’s been on tour with Bird, A Solo Show, after performing it in over 10 cities for 8 months straight and received 5 star reviews at Edinburgh Fringe Festival, with critics saying, “Kylie Vincent is someone to watch and the world will be hearing more from her in years to come.” Kylie tours with her disabled dog and wants you to know she was broken when she got her.

Asheville’s longest running comedy open mic happening every Wednesday night. The show starts at 8:00, and there is no cover. Anyone wanting to perform can sign up starting at 7pm, and will get four minutes on stage. Music Ménage features a chamber ensemble of select orchestra musicians and the return of multi-talented vocalists from the Opera Theatre at UNC Greensboro.
BRO Music Director Milton Crotts and Opera Theatre Director David Holley promise an evening of elegant opera music including selections from Mozart’s comedic masterpiece The Impresario, “Chi il bel sogno” from Puccini’s La Rondine, and “Morro, ma prima in grazia” from Giuseppe Verdi’s opera about the assassination of Swedish King Gustav III. The program features iconic songs sung by the title characters of three beloved French operas: Bizet’s Carmen sings the defiant and challenging “Habanera”; Massenet’s Manon performs her celebratory “Gavotte”; Lakme and her servant girl Mallika sing the hauntingly beautiful “Flower Duet” by Leo Delibes. The emotional tenor aria “La Serenata”, the “Intermezzo” from Cavalleria Rusticana, and the “Meditation” from Thais are among the many other highlights of these intimate concerts.
The Thursday evening salon in the Governor’s graceful mountain retreat will be accompanied by wine and delectables. Fortunate attendees will have an opportunity to mingle with the gifted performers on both evenings. The Orchestra is delighted to extend its collaboration with the UNC Greensboro Opera Theatre as part of its ongoing mission to promote connections that enhance the musical experiences of WNC audiences. UNC Greensboro is renowned for its Opera Theatre program – UNCG productions have earned seven first-place awards in the National Opera Association’s annual competition and its graduates perform with celebrated opera companies across the country. Our exclusive performances help make these musical partnerships possible.

Breaking the glass ceiling for Amy Schumer, Joan Rivers and The Marvelous Mrs. Masel, Belle Barth was the original irreverent female comic, Queen of the Borscht Belt, deflating anyone who dared take sex too seriously. Raunchy Little Musical – Belle Barth is Back! is an hilarious and heartfelt show that chronicles the launch of the 50s Queen of Crass. It is an evening with this pioneer of edgy comedy anchored by an original score by Grammy-nominated composer Ilya Levinson, with plenty of Belle’s jokes and songs that topped the charts of the “adults only” record section… the “party records” your parents played when you were sent to bed. Inspired by her Jewish comedian father, Belle, a classically trained pianist, defined the odds (and her mother’s wishes for a career at Carnegie Hall). She rose to the top of a very limited genre of performers playing to packed clubs worldwide in an era when “women ain’t comics” culminating in a sold-out appearance at Carnegie Hall..her greatest success and yet her demise.
Jimmy Ferraro (Producer/Director) Jimmy is a theatrical stage director with over 100 productions to his credit, most recently My Big Fat Italian Wedding Murder which ran for 2 years in Florida and most recently in Chicago. He also produced and directed the hit New York premiere of Raunchy Little Musical…Belle Barth is Back!, scheduled to open at The Hendersonville Theatre in June and in Chicago in the Fall.
His credits as a producer and director are an outgrowth of decades as a professional performer throughout the U.S. and overseas, including Broadway, Off-Broadway and regional theatre. He made his Broadway debut in Fiddler On The Roof, directed by Jerome Robbins. Jimmy appeared in two Broadway national tours of Fiddler, with over 3000 performances to his credit. He starred as Tevye, (his signature role), in Fiddler in the 2012 National Tour, (winning Broadway World’s Best Actor in a Musical Award). He is also known throughout the country for his roles as Sancho Panza in Man Of La Mancha, Nicely-Nicely in Guys And Dolls, each of which he has played more than 1000 performances and as Edna in . Jimmy and his wife, Broadway actress Dee Etta Rowe, now make their home in Hendersonville.
