Explore hands on activities and experiments while we learn about the Science of Bubbles or the Science of Sound. Every other week we will play and learn together using a variety of tools, instruments, and toys. AMOS has a plethora of science to intrigue the zeal of every learner!

Henderson County Extension Agent and host of the Gardening in the Mountains Radio Show Steve Pettis will discuss the importance of beneficial insects and pollinators and how to garden for their benefit. Then Steve will lead a pollinator walk through the Bullington Garden grounds.

This event is centered on community and connection while unleashing, empowering, and embracing our true selves on a journey of self-discovery and empowerment. Dr. Jenny Nuccio, founder of Imani Collective and author of “Let It Be Wild”, will share some of the stories behind her book. There will be time for engaging discussions and personal discoveries to encourage attendees to share their “wild soul dream.” The heartbeat of this evening is fellowship and true community that fosters space to dream within the space we cultivate together.

Class Description
Ever imagined what it would be like to play a role in a TV show? Maybe you dream about being on Broadway? Need a place to start? How about an introduction to acting camp! If you are a high schooler (Rising 10th-12th) and want to learn more about acting, then join Hendersonville Theatre’s Summer Acting Camp! In this camp, you will be introduced to everything from improv to character development to cold readings! A great start for any budding actor.

Jackson Park Bird Outing, 8am-10am, Join the Blue Ridge Audubon Society for their monthly
bird walk at Jackson Park, meet at the Administration Building parking lot, located on Glover Street, and join the group to see the
many wonderful birds found at Hendersonville’s largest park
XP League serves up a pro-level experience for gamers ages 8-17. Looking to prepare for high school, college, or professional gaming? Our athletes crush all their goals with next-level gaming strategies and experienced coaches. Please RSVP with a desired time: Free coaching sessions will begin at 10am, 11, 12, and 1pm. We can’t wait to show you what XP League and being a Blue Ridge Bear is all about!
| Join Bountiful Cities Saturday July 15th 6-7:30pm for a FREE class. Arturo Carillo is a long-time professional cook and gardener who volunteers at the Elder and Sage Community Garden in downtown Asheville. He will share techniques and his delightful recipes from his repertoire. Arturo’s family is originally from Ecuador and his cooking is influenced by time spent in his grandparents kitchens. |

Explore regions such as Chile and Greece that produce vibrant, cool, and invigorating white wines that are perfect for summer. Advanced Sommelier Cara De Lavallade will explain how to identify grape varieties and discuss how the influence of acidity, alcohol, body, and sweetness play into the final product. Participants will receive six 2-ounce wine pours accompanied by cured meats and cheeses.

Students will receive a solid foundation in beginner Ukulele skills for vocalists. Chords, Rhythm patterns, and basic theory will be introduced through songs with an uplifting message. Students will also learn to play the song that the Songwriting Class will be writing and get to record it in the One Mic Studio.
Queer Music Exploration – Students will explore guitar, bass, drums, singing and piano with a focus on learning music by artists from the LGBTQ+ community. Students will have the chance to interact with their peers and share their experiences through music.

Signaling works because it offers advantages to both the sender and receiver. Understanding how signals are used by birds to communicate provides insight into the amazing lives of birds.

Have you ever wondered exactly which varieties of fern line your path as you explore the Park? What role do they play among other plant species in Hickory Nut Gorge? Join a naturalist and hike to Hickory Nut Falls through a fern-filled forest, then learn more about our famous waterfall itself.
