Kris Kringle, an old man living in a retirement home, gets a job working as Santa for Macy’s where he surprises employees and customers by claiming to be the real Santa Claus. Seen as deluded by Macy’s vocational counselor, he’s thrown into a court case to determine his mental health and, more importantly, his authenticity. Especially at stake is one little girl’s belief in Santa. The whole family will enjoy this funny, poignant and faithful adaptation of the classic 1947 film.

The Bernsteins have thrilled and cracked up Asheville audiences with their antics for a decade. With an all-star cast of local acting talent, the show features Best of WNC Award Winner Tracey Johnston-Crum, well-known Lazoom personality Glenn Reed, Erik Moellering, Sarah Felmet, and Darren Marshall, who has played both Santa Claus and Baby Jesus for all ten years of the Spectacular. Directed by Lucia Del Vecchio, the show is sure to be a rollicking comedy romp, that is most certainly not suitable for all audiences.

Comedians Jessica Michelle Singleton and Buddy Hutton have been friends for nearly a decade. They work together. They live together. They cannot f*cking stand each other.

Internationally touring comedy phenom, Jessica Michelle Singleton has gained worldwide fans with her live headlining performances from North America and Europe to Africa and Asia, as well as her debut comedy album “Please. Don’t. Leave. Me.” which reached #1 on iTunes and was considered for the “Best Comedy Album” Grammy.
Jessica Michelle is a Paid Regular at The World Famous Comedy Store where she can be seen performing whenever she’s in Los Angeles between touring and she’s the idiot host of her popular podcast, “Ignorance is #Blessed”. She is a recurring guest on The Stephanie Miller Show on Free Speech TV and Sirius XM. Her comedy can be heard regularly on Sirius XM’s Raw Dog Comedy Channel and she has been a featured guest on Playboy TV’s “Talking Dirty” and Ari Shaffir’s “Skeptic Tank”.
JMS was the first English speaking female to perform at the prestigious Montreux Comedy Festival in Switzerland. Recently, JMS completed a 9 city sold out European tour on the heels of the debut of her critically-acclaimed one woman show, “Codependent Arising”, (a hilariously unique and emotional immersive experience about her real life experience at a 10 day silent meditation) at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival.
JMS co-hosts several series’ on the DumbWits comedy network along with Buddy Hutton including “Slob Ross” a live drinking (drunken) art show, and the popular series “Twitch Makes A Movie”, a live-stream interactive sketch show that utilizes viewers suggestions to create, write, shoot and release a tiny movie in 5 hours.
Jessica Michelle Singleton has a unique style of comedy which delivers in a stream of consciousness flow, combining introspective observations and vulnerable personal stories coupled with ideas from what some people refer to as a hyperactive, weird and slightly deranged imagination to make people laugh so hard they cry at things they didn’t even know they could smile about.

Buddy Hutton is the co-host of DumbWits comedy network series’ “Twitch Makes A Movie” and “Slob Ross” as well as a producer, writer, director, cinematographer, comic, actor, editor, graphic artist, host, dog dad and anything else he thinks will make his mother proud of him. Named for two years by Explore Asheville as one of the top 5 events in the Swannanoa Valley at Christmas, you are invited to come experience 25 Christmas trees that bring joy to the whole community. The public is invited to view the trees and then vote with money for their favorite tree. Every cent raised through Deck The Trees goes to the Fuel Fund for Swannanoa Valley Christian Ministry. Be a part of creating something beautiful that also gives back to the community. Prizes are awarded for the tree that raises the most money and for the tree that most represents the theme.

Freak Passholders are given priority with reserved seats. There are a limited number available, when they are gone, they’re gone! Price goes up to $75 on January 1st.
As well as over 100 ticketed show times from local, national and international artists, we have FREE Random Acts of Fringe popping up all over town, all week long, and lots of parties! The Kickoff party returns to the Lazy Diamond at 7 pm, co-hosted by the Buncombe County Tourism Development Authority, from 6-9pm, on Sunday, January 19th. Check out the new Artist Wine Party, hosted by Zapow Gallery, 7 pm, Tuesday, January 21st. oin nationally celebrated storyteller, Connie Regan-Blake, as she transforms a packed theater into an intimate circle of friends with old-timey charm, wisdom, and humor. We’ll also welcome to the stage, her workshop participants, Catherine Yael Serota, Steve Tate, Rick Bowers, Jane O. Cunningham, Christine Westfeldt, and Pepper Ellis-Hagebak. This event is in our intimate theatre, and usually sells out so get yours tickets ahead of time!
