Join us in the CIRCLE OF LIFE
The African savannah comes to life on stage with Simba, Rafiki and an unforgettable cast of characters as they journey from Pride Rock to the jungle… and back again, in this inspiring, coming-of-age tale.
Camp features: acting and movement classes, voice classes, drumming and prop making and more!
All campers will receive two tickets for each Friday show (3pm and 5pm). The campers stay after the 3pm show for a CAST pizza party between showings, and will go home at the conclusion of the 5pm show on Friday.
Camps run Monday-Friday, 9am -3pm
(The Performance and Competition Team is 10am-4pm.)
THIS IS A HALF-DAY CAMP. Core classes include acting, dance and movement, music, costume design, improv, and physical comedy. Additional classes, daily activities, and instructors vary by session, so join us for one week or several! There will not be a final showcase for Youth Camp. The Autumn at Oz Festival is the largest Oz festival in the world! A combination of your standard festival with arts & craft, handmade trinkets, memorabilia, & food vendors, it also includes a completely immersive theatrical experience where guests are engulfed into the classic story as you travel into the Gale Kansas Farm, through the tornado experience, and down the yellow brick road to the Emerald City. Along the way, meet all of your favorite characters for photo opportunities, see many live performances, and shop for your favorite Wizard of Oz Memorabilia.
The park will be debuting several new components to its immersive walkthrough theatre experience at this year’s Autumn at Oz event including:
Brand new costumes for all main cast members curated by Project Runway Season 1 runner-up, Austin Scarlett.
A restoration of the original 1970s psychedelic artwork inside the interactive “Kansas Twister” scene.
8 enchanting performances along the Yellow Brick Road
The recently-developed Over The Rainbow overlook, showcasing a breathtaking 5-state view.
The refurbishing of one of the park’s original metal balloon set pieces which serves as the park’s only ride.

In this history play, Shakespeare follows the life of King Henry V from the Hundred Years’ War to the Battle of Agincourt.
Rehearsals for “Henry V” will be from 11am-4pm Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays starting July 11, and performances will be July 29-31 and August 5-7.
Did you know listening is a core fundamental of comedy? Take this course and you’ll find out why! Improv 1 covers the fundamentals of improvisational acting with an emphasis on comedy; such as listening, commitment, intuitive reaction, as well as recognizing and capitalizing on emerging patterns.

The quarterly luncheon will feature a presentation on “How to Hire and Retain the Right Employees in 2022”. The focus will be on building a workplace culture that
attracts talent and enhances retention. The presenter is Gary Heisey, he is the Executive Director of Vision Henderson County (Leadership Program) and the Mission Accelerator Program (Business Growth Program). Gary is also the owner 0f The Brand Door, a business consulting and marketing company. Gary formerly directed the Small Business Center at Blue Ridge Community College where he garnered numerous awards and accolades. Lunch will be provided by The Hulsey Media Group!
