A brand is more than a name and logo. It is the perception that people have in their mind about a company, product or service that attracts them to you. Marketing a brand is like a 6-cylinder engine. If all 6-cylinders are not working together, one does not get the full power from the engine. Having only a website, business card and social media is like only having 3 cylinders. You do not get the full power from the brand. Can the Market Your Brand Workshop help you with your market your company, product or service? Take this self-test. You get one point for each that fits your company. ___ Healthy Increases in Annual Sales ___ High Profit Margins  ___ Top of Search – Page 1 on Google My Business with a 4.5-5 Star Rating and High Number of Reviews ___ Branded Mobile-Friendly Website with High Traffic Numbers ___ Top Of Mind  (When people think of your business category your name pops into their mind.) ___ Branded Social Media Platform with High Number of Likes & Followers ___ Branded Content Strategy (know and use key words that attract customers) ___ Branded Collateral Material (all printed materials are current and effective i.e. business card) ___ Use Brand Pivot Point in Making Marketing Decisions ___ Have and use a Customer Database to Market the Brand ___ Market to all 3 Stages in the Customer Cycle (Prospect, 1st Time Customer and Repeat Customer) ___ Use Brand Tagline in all Online and Print Marketing Materials ___ Branded Advertising Specialties (all promotional materials are current and effective i.e. tee-shirts) ___ Branded Company Spaces (promote brand in offices, lobby, store front, hallways, bathroom, etc.) ___ Branded External and Internal Signage (use signage to promote brand and it is current) ___ Total If you have a score of less than 14, the Market Your Brand Workshop can help create a plan to better Market Your Brand.

Entrepreneur Resilience Summit
Mar 29 @ 8:30 am – 2:00 pm
The Collider

Entrepreneurship can be a challenging and unpredictable path, and it’s common to face setbacks, challenges, and failures along the way. Being resilient can help you cope in a healthy and productive way and can help you bounce back from failures and continue pursuing your goals. Resilience can also help you stay focused and motivated and can enable you to adapt to changes and challenges as they arise.  As we look into 2023 and beyond, unpredictability in the market is going to be the standard, so to best prepare our businesses for a constant state of change, we need to be resilient.

Brought to you by Venture Asheville – join us on Wednesday, March 29th for an encouraging one-day summit designed for the founder, their team and for their venture.  We will be joined by keynote speakers, author Brad Stulberg, and former general manager of New Belgium, Jay Richardson, along with founders who lead the best company cultures and those who will share their personal stories of resilience.  In addition, area resources will be available to answer a broad spectrum of questions during the open networking time.

Each ticket includes admission for one person to all sessions, morning coffee, box lunch and a Pockitudes journal.

Queer Comedy Party ft. Hayley Ellman + Kevin Delgado

Different Wrld

Last Wednesday of every month is the Queer Comedy Party at Different Wrld in West Asheville!!! Modelface Comedy brings you the best queer comedians from all over the South followed by one of the wildest drag shows in town! Comedy from Hayley Ellman, Kevin Delgado and Katy Hudson

Drag TBA

Hayley Ellman is a queer improviser, sketch and stand-up comedian out of Atlanta, GA.

The Atlanta Journal Constitution referred to her comedy as “cerebral and sardonic.” She charms audiences with her balance of sincere, satirical, and silly jokes and stories.

She’s 2022 Queer of the Year at the P3 Comedy Fest, performed in The Red Clay Comedy Festival, The West End Comedy Fest, The SF Punch Line, Epic Comedy Hour as well as regularly performing at The Laughing Skull. She’s performed internationally in London and Toronto. She’s opened for Rory Scovel, Alex Hooper, Daniel Van-Kirk and Jenny Zigrino. She is a Guinness World Record Holder for being part of the longest comedy show. If you haven’t seen her perform around the Southeast US then you’re most likely to have seen her on BounceTv or TruTv: being pranked by a magician on the Carbonaro Effect as, embarrassingly, her episode is one of their favorite reruns.

TAYLOR TOMLINSON: THE HAVE IT ALL TOUR
Mar 30 @ 7:00 pm
Peace Concert Hall

The New York Times opines, comedian Taylor Tomlinson “demonstrates tight joke writing, carefully honed act-outs and a ruthless appetite for laughs” in her second hour-long special, Look At You, now streaming on Netflix. New York Magazine adds, “Watching Tomlinson gives you the same comfort as a Swift concert or a Broadway show that’s been on for years. This is a professional. This performance will be ultra-produced. You do not need to be anxious,” and the Los Angeles Times observes, “Even when she’s navigating painful waters, she can’t help but find the humor… her wit and pinpoint delivery reveal both an incisive writer and also a talented actor.”

Filmed last December at the historic Wilbur Theater in Boston, Look At You is an evolution of the Forbes’ 30 Under 30 star’s Quarter-Life Crisis that debuted on Netflix March of 2020. Her first hour-long special went on to be named “Best of 2020” by New York TimesDeciderPaste and earned unanimous critical praise with the Washington Post calling her “your favorite quarantine-watch” and Newsweek dubbing her “undeniably hilarious.” With appearances on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon, CBS This MorningKelly Clarkson and more, the woman Mashable calls “whip-smart and spectacularly cynical” and Variety Magazine names a Top 10 Comics to Watch is currently headlining her nationwide theater tour, Deal With It.
