Save a Life. Donate Blood.
Giving blood is a simple thing to do, but it can make a big difference in the lives of others. Asheville Outlets is teaming up with the American Red Cross to host a mobile blood drive.
The American Red Cross Blood Drive will be held Friday, May 26, from 11:00 a.m.-3:00 p.m. in the parking lot located behind the food court. May is Trauma Awareness Month for the Red Cross. Blood need rises as Trauma needs rise in summer months, with more travel, Auto accidents, and when outdoor activities increase so does physical injury. Your help collecting much needed blood supply is valued. Thank you!
Donors are asked to register in advance by visiting RedCrossBlood.org/give and entering the sponsor code AshevilleOutlets.
A restorative sound bath to heal your mind-body and raise funds for FOMCA (Friends of Madison County Animals).
Lay back on the island in one of the oldest rivers on the planet – the French Broad.
Allow your worries and tension to be gently washed away and you relax into the healing vibrations of a sound bath.
This ancient practice is designed to re-set the nervous system, bringing peace and balance to the body-mind.
FOMCA provides free and low-cost services to pet owners in need, with the goal of reducing pet overpopulation, preventing neglect, suffering and the unnecessary relinquishment or abandonment of animals. They strive to preserve the human/animal bond by keeping pets and their families together when they hit on hard times.
We’ve heard your valuable feedback, and now you don’t have to hear us! Beginning May 4, 2021, the period between 8 and 10 a.m. on the first Tuesday morning of every month will be reserved for “Meditative Mornings,” a pause for quiet time in our gardens and on our trails. During this time, our working garden crew will abstain from using leaf blowers, mowers and other equipment so you can be sure to enjoy the sounds of birds and the wind in the trees.
Take advantage of half-price parking on the first Tuesday of every month and come out to the Arboretum to enjoy a Meditative Morning!

Come hang out with us at Blue Ghost Brewing Company in Fletcher on Wednesday!
Blue Ghost Brewing is donating 10 percent of sales from 4:00-9:00 PM on June 14th to Homeward Bound to support our mission of preventing and ending homelessness through permanent housing and support.
Some staff will be there to collect donations of household goods for our Welcome Home Donation Center.

We gather on Tuesday evenings to share a dharma teaching, meditate for 20 minutes, followed by a group discussion. We come together to create a sangha community, and support each other as we deepen, reignite or begin our practice. We are diverse in age, experience and cultural backgrounds but share an interest in Buddhist teachings, specifically Thich Nhat Hanh, but draw from many wells. There is no charge as the dharma and practice should not have a price and be available to everyone. Sangha members are starting kirtan, a book club, and various musical and ceremonial gatherings.
