Aug 13 all-day
North Carolina Stage Company

Directed and Adapted by Jason Rojas
Assistant Directed by Thallis Santesteban
Original Music Composition and Music Direction by Dax Dupuy

Twelfth Night is a romantic comedy about mistaken identities and love triangles. The story revolves around shipwrecked twins Viola and Sebastian. Separated in the shipwreck, stranded on the shore of Illyria, and unsure who to trust, Viola disguises herself as a young man named Cesario and secures work for a local duke named Orsino. The Duke is hopeless in love with Lady Olivia. Olivia, in mourning and unimpressed by Orsino, falls for Cesario instead. Complications arise when Sebastian arrives, further leading to confusion and comedic chaos.
This production is part of the NC Stage Community Tour. Learn more about the Community Tour at NCStage.org!
Because accessibility is at the heart of the mission of the Community Tour, all tickets for performances of Twelfth Night at NC Stage are offered on a sliding scale pricing structure. Aug 14 all-day
Mountain Horticultural Crops Research & Extension Center

Join us at the Mountain Horticultural Crops Research and Extension Center (MHCREC) for our annual Field Day. In addition to the featured research, the event will highlight various other projects and initiatives that reflect the breadth of work being done here at MHCREC.

Come for the whole day or drop in for part of it — your choice! Admission is free.

Enjoy a complimentary lunch on us! And of course, don’t miss the chance to make your own fresh tomato sandwich right in the field!

We look forward to welcoming growers, researchers, students, and community members alike for a day of learning, networking, and celebration of agricultural innovation.

Period Nirvana

Monthly Visitor is a new class series by Period Nirvana. Every month, we will host a speaker to teach a class or lead a workshop in their area of expertise. The class will be about an hour long with the opportunity for questions and to shop for menstrual care and wellness products afterwards. Enjoy 15% off your purchase as a thank you for purchasing a ticket and attending!

This month, we invite Dr. Taylor Yankey to lead a workshop on contraception! This class will include a brief history, an overview of the hormones involved with menstruation to understand the variety of contraceptives, and a breakdown of all of the options for contraception. She will also cover how contraceptives can be used for more than preventing pregnancy.

This event is for anyone curious about contraception! Period Nirvana is an inclusive space and we welcome anyone who wishes to attend. This class is geared toward high-school and college aged folks, but is also appropriate for middle-schoolers who might be interested.
