Looking for some great books to add to your to-be-read shelf? How about doing some early holiday shopping? The Friends of the Black Mountain Library has you covered! Spend the day in beautiful Black Mountain and visit the Friends of the Library Book Sale in the Black Mountain Library Community Room (105 N. Dougherty St., Black Mountain, NC 28711) from 10-1 on Saturday, August 10. We have a great selection of adult, vintage, young adult and children’s books, puzzles, and much more. And our prices are unbeatable! A bag of adult books of your choice is $5.00, while children’s books are 2 for $1.00. Members of the Friends of the Black Mountain Library can enjoy early bird shopping at 9:30. This is the same date as Black Mountain’s Sourwood Festival (https://www.exploreblackmountain.com/sourwood-festival/) so plan to enjoy a day of fun and festivities in Black Mountain!

The Friends of the Black Mountain Library are pleased to again participate in the Antiques and Collectibles Sale sponsored by the Swannanoa Valley Museum. The antique sale will be held at the Monte Vista Hotel on Saturday August 17, from 9 a.m. until 6 p.m. FOL will be selling antique books, ephemera, and other related items.
