The first show of our 2023 Season!

| The Montford Park Players, North Carolina’s longest running Shakespeare theatre is pleased to announce auditions for the first show of our 51st Season – “Wendy and Peter”, a Peter Pan story, written and directed by Skyler Goff.
Audition Dates: ADULTS ONLY CALLBACKS (ADULTS and CAST YOUTH) ROLES FOR YOUTH (Ages 8-18) ROLES FOR ADULTS (Ages 18+) NOTE: ALL ACTORS should prepare a monologue on any theme, memorized, and no longer then one minute. NOTE: All actors must fill out the following Google Forms, located HERE :
NOTE: This 2023 Season Audition Form will be used for all our productions this year. Note that this season we will NOT be requiring video audition submissions. Note to Selected Actors and parents: Early Rehearsals will prioritize getting all actors below the age of 18 out no later than 8pm without parent/guardian consent. Throughout every culture and time period, art and spirituality have been intertwined. Art influences how we conceptualize the divine, beauty, and ourselves (and vice versa!).
In this event, I will bring a series of images from across multiple faiths, cultures, and subject matter for discussion.
$5 donation recommended but not required. All proceeds go to St. Mary’s as a thank you for hosting us!
The Cabaret, sponsored by the Asheville Symphony Guild, is a lively variety show highlighting local singing, dancing, instrumental and comedic talent. Music from the 20s to the present, from Broadway to Appalachia, will have you tapping your feet and singing along. Come, bring your friends, be entertained and see your neighbors perform. Ceremonialist: PMT Sanctioned Teachers
Clothing swaps are a great way to get rid of items that you no longer need, but that might be just what someone else is looking for. Events like this also help keep clothing out of landfills, and create community among attendees. We are committed to creating swaps that are size-inclusive.
At this event you can bring clothes you like and leave with clothes you love! Plus, it’s a fundraiser for reproductive justice in Asheville.
How it works:
Drop off clothes before March 25 at Hi-Wire RAD
Clothing should be in good, clean condition
Bring 1-20+ items, leave with 15+
Adult clothing and shoes only
No accessories or kids clothing
Come watch as teams from across the Carolinas compete in a double-elimination bracket to pull two fire trucks in a race for the best time. Then stick around for a live concert. A portion of proceeds will go to the N.C. Firefighters’ Burned Children Fund.

French Broad River Park: Go to the parking lot off of Riverview Drive, which is off of Amboy Rd. Find the cobalt blue canopy tent!
We will be as close to as directly across the parking lot as we can, near the water, with the tent (go past the bathrooms and head to the water). So, you should be able to find us pretty easily if it’s your first time).
We’ll enjoy meditations/visualizations, psychic ability empowerment, chakra activations, and lively discussions about how we can participate in the evolution of the new earth… a world where truth and the ethos of love (e.g.: Law of One) are the guiding forces.
All who are interested in spiritual growth and evolution and getting to know others who are “on their wavelength” are welcome.

For schools, the Community Tour offers student workshops with teaching artists from the Ensemble.
The Community Tour also includes a series of ticketed performances for audiences at NC Stage. Performances at NC Stage are staged in an intimate setting with all the lights on so our audiences may enjoy the performances as it is experienced at each tour location.
Performances are coordinated with and performed for audiences in non-traditional spaces such as homeless shelters, correctional facilities, community centers, low income senior centers and locations throughout rural Western North Carolina. For schools, the Community Tour offers student workshops with teaching artists from the Ensemble.

Our very own Keri Ann has connected with the African Christian Fellowship to embark on a Mission trip this July to Malawi, Africa.
$10 cover charge, a raffle and an opportunity to donate!
To support this wonderful cause, Saint Paul Mountain Vineyard and Appalachian Ridge will kick off Spring with a 4 week Friday Night Jam’s Fundraiser at Appalachian Ridge from 6-9pm. �We will have live Music each Friday from 6-8:30pm. There will be a $10 cover charge, a raffle and an opportunity to donate. All of these proceeds go straight to the ACFUSA to provide and support primary health care needs to 6 villages in Malawi.
Friday Night Jam’s Malawi Fundraiser will take place every other Friday; Friday, April 14th- Live Music with Collin Cheek Friday, April 28th- Live Music with Hunnilicious Friday, May 12th- TBD Friday, May 26th- TBD
