Tickets for our 2024 Table for Three raffle will go on sale March 15, 2024! Table for Three is MANNA’s partnership with the Asheville-area’s nationally-recognized independent restaurant scene. You could win an incredible grand prize: a meal for two at 52 of the Asheville-area’s top local restaurants. That’s a year’s worth of dining out at a value of more than $3,000!
The best part is that each ticket supports MANNA’s vital work to provide food to Western North Carolina neighbors struggling to make ends meet. With every ticket sold, we can provide enough food to feed one person a daily meal … for more than an entire year. That’s why we call it Table for Three!
TICKETS ARE $124
Table for Three raffle tickets are $124 each. This is a very intentional ticket price: $124 is what it costs MANNA to feed one person a meal a day for more than one year. With every ticket purchased, you help set the table for a neighbor facing food insecurity.
THE GRAND PRIZE
The winner will receive gift certificates to 52 different Asheville-area restaurants. The gift certificates are transferrable, so you can share them with friends and family, give them as client gifts, or, of course, use them all yourself!
Gift certificates do not include tax or gratuity and cannot be used for alcohol. Some restaurants may limit use during holidays or special events. Certificates can be used for dine-in or carry-out service in cases where the restaurant offers the carry-out option.
THE WINNER
A single winner will be drawn via livestream on MANNA’s Facebook page on or before Friday, May 15. All raffle ticket holders will be notified in advance of the exact day and time of the drawing. Ticketholders do not need to be tuned into the livestream to win. The winner will be asked to come to MANNA (on a day and time following the drawing, and agreed upon by the winner and MANNA), to claim their prize. And then … let the dining begin!
THE FINE PRINT
Tickets are $124 each. The drawing will take place on/before May 15, 2024, via livestream on MANNA’s Facebook page. Only 500 tickets will be sold. This is a fundraising project, and all ticket sales benefit MANNA FoodBank. Tickets may be sold to MANNA employees, board members, and other affiliated individuals. The Table for Three Raffle is open only to those who are 18 years of age or older as of March 14, 2023, and who possess a valid government-issued ID. Ticketholders do not need to be tuned in to the livestream to win. According to Internal Revenue Service regulations, no portion of the raffle ticket purchase qualifies as a tax-deductible donation.
Enter for your chance to see Tony Award winners Hamilton and Hadestown (from incredible seats) and get your travel and lodging expenses covered as well. Don’t miss your chance to enter! Tickets are only $45 and going fast.

- $2500 for roundtrip airfare and hotel accommodations during your stay
- Total package value: apx $3800
Raffle drawing to be held at the closing performance of Witch on April 7, 2024 at 2pm

Volunteerism: Recruiting, Training and Retaining will cover approaches to the modern era of volunteerism. Cultural changes, including work life, gender roles, and need for flexibility have led to new considerations when building a volunteer pool. We need more than warm bodies to win elections and keep the party strong. Consider how to build up a skilled volunteer force that will stay engaged for more than one event and even more than one election.

– Blue Ridge Humane Society (BRHS) invites the community to
participate in Paws for a Purpose, a signature fundraising weekend bringing together local businesses
and individuals to raise awareness and funds to support their mission of ensuring the highest quality of
life for animals in Henderson County and surrounding communities.
Local businesses are encouraged to host fundraisers throughout the weekend, and can include donating
a percentage of sales, hosting a pet supply donation drive, hosting a pint night or yappy hour or creating
an individual celebration that includes a raffle or contest with proceeds benefitting BRHS. Individuals are
also encouraged to host parties with friends, neighbors or co-workers. Parties can be at their favorite
establishment, a neighborhood clubhouse or at the office and can include sit-down dinners, block
parties, or pet supply drives, for example.
“This signature fundraising event has become a community favorite over the last four years because of
its creative and inclusive nature,” said BRHS Executive Director Angela Prodrick. “Individuals and
businesses empower others to contribute as much or as little as they desire in the course of one
weekend, and these collective efforts amount to a significant impact for our organization. Together, we
can save local animals in our neighborhoods by supporting small, locally owned businesses.”
If you would like to host an event, visit https://www.blueridgehumane.org/get-
involved/events/pawsforapurpose/ or email BRHS Events & Business Partnerships Director Jessica
Chipriano at [email protected] for more information.
The Blue Ridge Humane Society, Inc., is a 501(c)3 animal welfare organization started in 1950 and
dedicated to ensuring the highest quality of life for animals in Henderson County and our neighboring
communities. BRHS cares for pets awaiting adoption at the Adoption Center; offers low-cost vaccine
clinics, animal education programs, pet training classes, and youth education and projects; coordinates
community pet food assistance, emergency vet assistance, and the Spay Neuter Incentive Program
(SNIP), which is a collaboration with Henderson County, the City of Hendersonville, and the Henderson
County Animal Services Center.

Join us for a public volunteer workday at the SAHC Community Farm, nestled in the pastoral community of Alexander, North Carolina. As the splendor of spring unfolds, we invite you to roll up your sleeves and help us to steward our beautiful farm.
We welcome volunteers of all ages and backgrounds to join us for a day of camaraderie, purposeful work, and connection with nature. Our public volunteer workday offers a hands-on opportunity to engage with the land, learn sustainable farming practices, and make a tangible impact on our local ecosystem.
Activities may include:
- Planting: Embrace the rhythm of the season as we sow seeds, transplant seedlings, and nurture the growth of vibrant crops that will sustain our community.
- Weeding and Mulching: Partner with fellow volunteers to tend to the soil, clearing away invasive species and spreading nourishing mulch to promote healthy plant growth.
- Trail Maintenance: Explore the beauty of our farm while contributing to its upkeep by maintaining trails, clearing debris, and enhancing accessibility for visitors.
- Environmental Restoration: Engage in projects aimed at restoring native habitats, protecting wildlife corridors, and fostering biodiversity within our landscape.
- Community Building: Forge meaningful connections with fellow volunteers as we work together towards a shared vision of environmental stewardship and community resilience.
No prior experience is necessary – just bring your enthusiasm, a willingness to learn, and a spirit of collaboration. Gloves, tools, will be provided.
CAs part of our Volunteer Work Day at the SAHC Community Farm, we will focus on planting 250 fruit trees in the NEW Food Forest! Help support fresh healthy produce in your community, and see your efforts grow in SAHC’s future U-pick orchard. We will plant 12 different varieties of apple trees – great for everything from fresh eating to making sauce or cider.
Each tree is about 3-4 ft. tall, and holes will be prepared in advance – so there will be minimal digging involved. No experience needed. The weather has been soggy today but should be beautiful on Friday.
If you want to plant a tree and make a positive impact on the environment and community health for Earth Month, this is your opportunity!
An evening with Shannon Whitworth & Woody Platt and special guests in support of Mountain Sun Community School.
