It’s the 1960’s and Bernard, an American living in Paris, has the perfect setup: three international fiancées, each a beautiful airline hostess with frequent “layovers.” He keeps “one up, one down, and one pending” until unexpected schedule changes bring all three to Paris, and Bernard’s apartment, at the same time.  Prepare yourself for the most deliriously funny flight of your life.

Asheville’s longest running comedy open mic happening every Wednesday night. The show starts at 8:00, and there is no cover. Anyone wanting to perform can sign up starting at 7pm, and will get four minutes on stage. Local and not-so-local, professional and not-so-professional comics perform or just anyone wanting to get up in front of people and try to make them laugh. Always fun. Always free.

The third in a popular seasonal series of special topics in ecology continues a beloved Arboretum course. Naturalist Dan Lazar, who teaches the Ecology of the Blue Ridge course every fall, leads this walk and talk designed to point out signs of summer’s vibrancy. Participants will walk through roadside meadows filled with Goldenrod and asters and then head into the Arboretum Forest on easily accessible trails. We’ll consider the role of birds and other animals in seed dispersal, one of nature’s most important methods for renewing itself. Opportunities for learning in place are far from dormant in this or any season at the Arboretum!
