An evening of original songs in the natural acoustics and listening room atmosphere of the beautiful and historic Brandy Bar, 504 Seventh Ave. East, Hendersonville, NC 28792
Featuring MARE CARMODY, CHARLIE WILKINSON & NIKKI TALLEY
Hey Neighbors! We have a delightfully talented group of songwriters for our May session at the coolest bar in Hendo. Founders of this very series – Mare Carmody and Charlie Wilkinson – will be joined by local favorite Nikki Talley for an evening celebrating creativity, humanity, community, and delicious brandy and/or cocktails. Come join us!
Mare Carmody is a voice of Southern storytelling, in both songs and prose. She believes life indeed is a song. Or a series of songs.
Charlie Wilkinson has been writing and performing since a time before junior high schools, from the Washington, D. C., area to Florida and other foreign lands, and has always seemed to get dropped into the middle of special places and special folks.
Powerhouse vocals deliver Nikki Talley’s award-winning songwriting about life’s simple pleasures: travel, motherhood, fishing, rhododendron & moonshine.

Hadestown Teen Edition
May 16-18, 2025
Friday at 7:30 PM, Saturday and Sunday at 2:30 PM
This intriguing and beautiful folk opera delivers a deeply resonant and defiantly hopeful theatrical experience. Following two intertwining love stories – that of young dreamers Orpheus and Eurydice, and that of immortal King Hades and lady Persephone – Hadestown invites audiences on a hell-raising journey to the underworld and back. Inspired by traditions of classic American folk music and vintage New Orleans jazz, Mitchell’s beguiling sung-through musical pits industry against nature, doubt against faith, and fear against love.
