On view from October 18 through December 31, 2025, this curated showcase brings together the work of four contemporary makers who honor traditional craftsmanship while offering fresh perspectives on timeless forms.

Tracey Morgan Gallery is pleased to present “Barriers & Boundaries,” a solo exhibition by Sharon Louden showcasing three interrelated bodies of work — paintings from The Barriers series (2023), selections from the Untitled series (2010), and a new wall installation featuring works on paper from Louden’s ongoing and current series, Barriers to Entry (2023–25). Together, these series trace Louden’s evolving vision, revealing a rich dialogue between past and present, painting and installation.

Louden’s work investigates limits—both actual and psychological—and the space in which constraint becomes possibility. The Barriers paintings evoke edges, thresholds, and the complex interplay between openness and division. The Untitled series explores fragile architectural form, color, and gentle quietness in the gestures themselves. The wall installation in Barriers to Entry transforms one of the gallery’s walls into a site of engagement, inviting viewers to navigate, literally reflect, and imagine themselves in a new environment.

Women of the Pacific Northwest celebrates the voices, visions and material mastery of female artists working today, with roots from this rich and progressive region. Through the execution of disparate media from bronze, steel, glass, tin, plaster, mylar, printmaking, hair nets, cloth, rubber, wax to paint, these artists have achieved inventive, creative practices originating from critical, generative, inquisition of natural, social or subliminal forces. This exhibition highlights a group of female artists working in diverse media creating art that explores connections to place, whether sociological, environmental or spiritual, in a region supportive of equality, ecology and enterprise. Vincent Antone (full name Vincent Antone Seidl) is an American producer and recording artist based in Austin, TX. He is a multi instrumentalist; playing guitar for over 20 years, Drums for 15, and Piano and Bass for 10. He has produced music for over 8 years now and has found a passion for combining elements of Dance music with all sorts of genres. His style runs from Future Funk, Hip Hop, Future Bass, House, Trap, and everything in between. His music is boundless, you can expect the unexpected, and because of this, there is something for everyone.

Jason Leech is a keyboardist, producer, and composer based out of Louisville, KY who performs live triple keyboard flips over a variety of electronic beats. Jason has been studying, performing, and teaching music for most of his life and his approach to performing is to change the way people experience pianos and electronic music. In 2014, Jason began experimenting with his own style of music by playing the piano over his original remixes of his favorite EDM songs.

The UNCA Experimental Ensemble is dedicated to expanding our students’ ideas about what music is and how it is made. On Saturday, November 22, Continuum Art will come alive with an evening of extraordinary live music featuring 2025 North Carolina Music Hall of Fame inductee David Childers.

Fresh off his Hall of Fame recognition, Childers, one of the state’s most respected singer-songwriters, will bring his signature blend of heartfelt lyricism, folk storytelling, and Americana energy to the intimate stage at Continuum Art.

The evening begins with performances from an impressive lineup of regional talents: Cody Gentry, Dylan Walshe, and A. Lee Edwards, each adding their own distinct voice to a night celebrating the rich musical heritage of the Carolinas.

Buncombe Turnpike is a long-time staple in the Asheville bluegrass scene. Their sets are made up of primarily hand-crafted original songs, but the band also plays a variety of other heartfelt tunes ranging from traditional and contemporary bluegrass. With their crowd-pleasing demeanor, seasoned musicianship, and powerful vocals the band has made a name for themselves among traditional and contemporary listeners alike.
