CarePartners PACE (Program of All-inclusive Care for the Elderly) is a program for people age 55 or older that need support to remain safely at home. It provides community-based care and services for people who might otherwise need a nursing home level of care. A PACE program works to promote and sustain the independence of seniors, and help those who want to live at home, stay at home.

Every woman is a leader, whether established or growing your leadership skills. This breakfast, organized by the ATHENA of Henderson County Award committee is a fantastic opportunity to explore your own development as a leader, no matter where you are at on your journey.
The program consists of a panelist of three women who will be sharing personal stories of their own leadership struggles and triumphs. We are pleased to have Stacy Fields, Pauline Carpenter, and Adriana Chavela.
Conversations will happen, lives will be touched, leaders will be inspired, and friendships will be formed as we take time for personal introspection and table discussion structured around the eight ATHENA leadership principles.

Flatfooting is a low, close-to-the floor style of dance that focuses on making rhythms that go along with the music, usually an old-time dance tune. It’s really all about the sound, and most flatfooters don’t do anything fancy with their arms. Participants will learn how to do basic flatfoot moves in this workshop while learning the history of one of Appalachia’s deepest rooted dance forms and hearing personal anecdotes about other traditional Appalachian dancers that Rodney has had the pleasure of encountering throughout his journey.
About Rodney Sutton: Rodney Clay Sutton is a dance performer and teacher of Appalachian step dance – both flatfoot and clogging. He calls square dances and contra dances, and is a storyteller and ballad singer. Rodney offers workshops, lectures, and demonstrations catered for a range of age groups, including youth, seniors, and corporate gatherings. He is also a concert and festival producer, emcee, and stage manager. In 2019, Rodney was one of 9 folks selected to receive a first ever Folk & Traditional Arts Master Artist Fellowship from South Arts. He was able to use the monies to go to Ireland for a month in September of 2019 to study Sean Nos` dance – the Irish step-dance equivalent to flat-footing.

A business plan is a key tool for making your business successful– to identify where you excel, where you need to adjust, and where you need support. In Part 1 of this course, we will introduce a Business Plan Workbook. You will learn tools for reviewing your Executive Summary, Products and Services and your Business Description. What is co-warehousing? It’s sort of like co-working, but in warehouse form. Ernest allows you to outgrow the garage and work in a workspace of your own, in concert with other entrepreneurs, but without the overhead. It’s a place to fill orders, accept a pallet, take product photography for your site, have a meeting in a private conference room, or just post up with your laptop and a cup of coffee in a clean, comfortable, shared coworking space. It’s kind of like a subscription to a warehouse. (Conference rooms, meeting spaces, and photo studio available for day rentals)
Ernest will be sharing the spotlight with a new entrepreneur Brad Currin in Western North Carolina. He is a US Army Veteran and Owner of FCI Floors where they bring the mobile show room to you.
There will be tours of the space and the opportunity to chat with other members. Light bites and drinks provided.
Directions: Located off exit 51 of I40 on Sweeten Creek Road. Plenty of parking available in shared lot with Devil’s Foot Beverage.
