Angel Pets Expo Asheville, Saturday, June 8th at the Renaissance Hotel, 10-6p.m (Salon B/C). Breaking Ground is a coming together of ceramic art and functional pottery. From expressive hand made wall hangings that are certain to stir the critical thinking process to the sculpture of stoic faces that might inspire a familiar experience or memory. Beautiful, whimsical mugs, cups, plates and vases made for everyday use and meant to coax a smile or encourage a laugh. Wondrous flowers made with clay and buttons, visions of graffiti, hedgehogs, aliens and tattoo imagery pleasingly loud with color and sure to beckon.

Come join us in celebrating the grand opening of Girl and Goblin, Asheville’s one and only Tattoo Studio and Oddities Shop! See for yourselves our new location containing over 2,300 square feet of peculiar curiosities.
Joining the celebration will be local food trucks, free beer (21+) from local breweries, live music, multiple tattooers working all day, giveaways, sideshow performers and more! Everyone is welcome, all ages, all people!

A rare opportunity to meet Claudia Foltz, co-author of dance icon Mel Tomlinson’s autobiography, “Beyond My Dreams”. Come here his story of how talent, determination and hard work broke through walls, making him one of the first African Americans featured at the NYC Ballet. Terpsicorps dancers Keith Reeves and Lydia McRae will join the discussion to share their view of life in today’s world of ballet from an African American perspective.
