The music of Sean K. Preston draws heavily on the influences of the classic heartbroken sounds of Country & Western music from the 40’s through the 70’s, the honesty of the Blues by the likes of Robert Johnson and John Lee Hooker, the bombast of 50’s Rock’n’Roll, the lyrical sophistication of musical poets like Leonard Cohen, Bob Dylan and Nick Cave, the raw energy of Punk, and the spirituality of Mountain Gospel. His own songs range from delicate laments and lullabies to fiery sermons and confessions.
Tuatha Dea returns to White Horse for another beautiful, heart-pounding collection of Appalachian Roots Rock and other magical music. The storied band brings a rock edge and fearless attitude for pushing the boundaries of modern roots music.
Combining primal rhythms, melodic and ethereal ballads, screaming guitar riffs with an Appalachian/Celtic vibe this FAMILY born of a family drum circle delivers an authentic tribal and clannish feel that not only draws the audience into the music but into the moment and clan as well.
In 2017 Tuatha Dea became part of The New Bristol Sessions, a collaboration celebrating the historic 1927 Sessions along with folks like Dolly Parton, Virginia Ground, 49 Winchester and more!

Associated with the North Carolina Home Builders Association and the National Association of Home Builders, the Asheville Home Builders Association represents over 850 members consisting of builders, contractors, real estate agents, suppliers, insurance agents, sub-contractors, and more.
Isis Music Hall and Kitchen, a family-owned and operated business, is housed in a historic renovated theater in the heart of West Asheville. In this interview we learn how they have pivoted to safely provide dinner and a show in midst of 2020 craziness.

Growing up just down the road from Doc Watson, Billboard-charting artists Cane Mill Road rock the traditional bluegrass standards they grew up on, yet boldly tackle writing original music that often walks the lines between Bluegrass, Americana, Old-time, and Folk. Audiences love Cane Mill Road’s high-energy performances, easy going rapport both on and off stage, and the eclectic mix of originals and standards in the show.

Nina & The Buffalo Riders are a product and cumulative manifestation of Detroit’s legendary musical prowess. This six-piece outfit combines soulful vocals, dominant guitar leads, acoustic breaks, screaming organ, and the occasional banjo and mandolin to create their definitive rock and roll sound. Since their formation in early 2013, Nina & The Buffalo Riders’ sound has been fashioned by a decade of live performance experience, songwriting and commercial session work for companies like ALP Music, as well as a myriad of influences ranging from bluegrass to soul. The group is valued for their high intensity live performances and cross-genre instrumentation.

Totally Rad Trivia comes to French Broad River Brewing starting this Tuesday at 6:00PM! The same favorite local Pop Culture Trivia show mixed with the delicious brews of French Broad. Plus Papa Nicks Pizza right next door! Drink and Food Specials will be available.
The show is completely social distanced and we will all be doing everything we can to make it a safe and enjoyable experience, so the only thing you’ll have to worry about is how many times I’ll reference a show you’ve never watched.
