Introducing: The Black Box Series
You’ve never experienced a play on The Rock like this before! Join us for an exciting new series where the audience and artists share the stage together for an intimate and immersive theatre experience. The Black Box Series will feature contemporary works, classics, and stories and playwrights from around the globe. Be among the first to join us on this new and exciting theatrical journey!
*Both shows contain adult language and content.
Described by Newsday as “brutally entertaining,” God of Carnage is a comedy of manners… without the manners. Don’t miss the triple-Tony-Award-winning Broadway sensation by Yasmina Reza. The New Yorker calls this laugh-out-loud hilarity “ninety minutes of sustained mayhem.” A playground altercation between eleven-year-old boys brings together two sets of Brooklyn parents for a meeting to resolve the matter. At first, diplomatic niceties are observed, but as the meeting progresses and the rum flows, tensions emerge and the gloves come off, leaving the couples with more than just their principals in tatters.
*Adult language and content.
“A streamlined anatomy of the human animal… delivers the cathartic release of watching other people’s marriages go boom. This play is itself a satisfyingly primitive entertainment.” –The New York Times

Cedar Bear has been trained in the lineage of Richard Rudis who created the original “Gong Bath™”. Cedar’s Gong Bath’s and concerts include elements from Nada Yoga, DJ mixing, drumming, Tibetan Buddhism, Tantric Hinduism, sacred geometry, and Reiki. This creates a meditative experience in which each participant is acoustically guided via harmonic overtones, into realms of physical & mental/emotional well-being as well as cellular healing. Carefully designed vibrational constructs are used to further entice the brain into Alpha/Theta/Delta wave-scapes of clarity, peace, and wholeness which promotes physIcal, mental, and spiritual awakening, wisdom, and healing.
:: How to Prepare/What to Bring ::
-yoga mat or something soft to lie on and or a pillow.
-we have chairs and back jacks for sitting
-avoid wearing any heavy scents or oils

MSC is an empirically-supported 9-session program that helps participants develop and deepen the skills of self-compassion. Activities include meditation, talks, discussion, and experiential exercises. This class will be held rain or shine outdoors in a beautiful setting over nine Saturdays, 9/17-11/19, skipping 10/15.
We will meet from 10:30AM-2PM with a 30-minute break for lunch midway through each session. Each class participant will receive a copy of The Mindful Self-Compassion Workbook.
Register at mindfulselfcompassionasheville.com by 8/30 for early-bird pricing.
We will begin by forest bathing as we bask in the beautiful natural environment at the Inner Wolf Retreat Space just 40 minutes from downtown Asheville, NC. Then, Dawn Sagonias of Sound of a New Dawn (https://www.soundofanewdawn.com/) will lead us on a Sound Journey. Relax & renew with gentle sound healing with gongs, singing bowls, and other soothing sounds to calm your nervous system and clear energy. Grounding gongs, timeless & soaring singing bowls, refreshing chimes, a relaxing ocean drum, amongst other instruments help us to re-imagine life and bring fresh air to the intensity that life naturally brings.
Why sound healing? Most of us are stuck in fight or flight these days and have trouble quieting the mind, soothing anxieties, and calming the body. These instruments and the way Dawn plays them allows the mind to relax so your body can activate the parasympathetic nervous system & rest, digest, and heal itself.
She has curated a method to lift and transmute emotions, experiences, and beliefs using the instruments and energetics. Participants report dramatic effects and say over many approaches they have tried, sound healing with Dawn helps the most. Dawn utilizes her sense as an empath, has worked weekly with grief counseling groups, and acts as a conduit bringing new perspective with your highest good in mind.
After this grounding and beautiful experience, we will be prepared to take a Shamanic Journey for a Soul Retrieval with Kim Robinson of The Venus Studio AVL (www.venusstudioavl.com)
Learn the basics of Shamanic Journeying and do a Soul Retrieval!
We will learn how to practice shamanic journeying on your own, where you will meet your guide for shamanic journeys. Then we will do a journey together in group to go to the Chamber of Grace to receive a gift – a soul retrieval.
What is Soul Retrieval? As our souls journey through time and space, we may lose parts of our soul along the way. If you feel like there is just something missing in your life, you feel confused or lost, or are having mental fog or have an unexplained sadness then you may be ready to retrieve a lost soul part. Soul parts can go missing for a variety of reasons, but here are a few ideas: when we are holding on to heavy belief systems that no longer serve us, have had unresolved emotional healing or trauma, ancestral trauma, soul contracts, or birth trauma. We will receive and integrate this beautiful new soul part and share in a sacred space group.
How will this Sound Journey and Soul Retrieval Workshop benefit me?
-You will have a deep sense of relaxation, which allows the mind to relax so your body can activate the parasympathetic nervous system & rest, digest, and heal itself.
-You will walk away with the tools to practice a shamanic journey on your own
-You will gain insight into what soul part is calling out to you to be recognized and integrated
-You will leave feeling renewed and joyful
-You will feel empowered after learning new soul gifts
What should I bring?
-You can bring a yoga mat or picnic blanket to lie down on, but we will have them to provide as well. Just in case you wanted your own.
-You may bring a picnic lunch to stay after and enjoy a picnic lunch on the beautiful grounds

French Broad River Park location: Go to the parking lot off of Riverview Drive, which is off of Amboy Rd. Find the cobalt blue canopy tent!
We will be as close to directly across from the parking lot as we can, near the water, with the tent (go past the bathrooms and head to the water). So, you should be able to find us pretty easily if it’s your first time).
NOTE: Bring a chair, pillow, or towel to sit on, an open mind, and energies of love, receptivity, and curiosity.
Activation is 2 hours together: The 1st hour is a discussion and sharing (OPEN conversation with a topic we choose from a container that all participate in), a sharing from a group member or members, and then the last hour is a chakra detox/tune up via meditations/guided visualizations, or a psychic ability empowerment session led by the hosts Natalie and Adriane.
This is how we participate TOGETHER in the evolution of “New Earth” energies moving into a world where truth and the ethos of love-light (e.g.: Law of One ideation) are the guiding forces.
All who are interested in spiritual growth, OPEN-MINDED conversations that include the light and dark of our planet, evolution, and the desire to co-create and get to know others who are like-hearted (not just like-minded) are welcome!
We look forward to meeting you!

Comedian Kathleen Madigan’s 32-year comedy career is showing no signs of slowing down. Madigan has been touring 250 nights a year on the road and has risen from performing in comedy clubs to performing in marquee theaters with sold out shows. She’s squeezed in over 40 appearances on late night talk shows and multiple comedy specials airing on Netflix, Comedy Central and HBO. She also recently joined Jerry Seinfeld on his Netflix show “Comedians in Cars Getting Coffee” and made the most of the pandemic by launching a podcast, “Madigan’s Pubcast,” on all streaming outlets. Recently asked if her career was planned, she said, “No, like that guy in the Joy of Painting used to say, it was a happy accident. This whole thing just started out as a reason to drink and wow, what a great drinking accident.”
